Sanders supporters call on Warren to drop out

#WARRENENDORSEBERNIE Trends as Sanders Supporters Urge Warren to Drop Out and Endorse Her Fellow Progressive

The hashtag #WarrenEndorseBernie began trending on Twitter across the United States on Monday afternoon as supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders urged his 2020 rival Senator Elizabeth Warren to drop out and gather the progressive vote by backing Sanders.

It comes shortly after Senator Amy Klobuchar and former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg announced their decision to end their presidential bids. Both candidates are expected to back former Vice President Joe Biden, who now appears to be the candidate that most moderates will coalesce around for the 2020 Democratic nomination. ...

Tens of thousands of Sanders supporters took to Twitter to encourage Warren to leave the race and back her progressive colleague. Some argue that Warren and Sanders have crossover in policy and a Warren endorsement would allow Sanders a fighting chance against Biden. As of Monday afternoon, #WarrenEndorseBernie rose to the top trending topic on the social media platform in the United States. At the time of publication, the hashtag had garnered more than 35,000 tweets.

"Hey @ewarren, I'm going to be real with you, you're not going to win the nomination at a contested convention. We need you. Bernie needs you. Try to make amends for the damage you've already caused. Please drop out and endorse Bernie," user @yesthatCarlo tweeted.

What they fail to actually grasp is how much all the candidates agree on larger policy. Everyone wants better healthcare, I'd even say single payer of some type, everyone wants the wealthy to pay more in taxes, everyone wants the middle class to succeed, everyone is on board with doing something about climate change.

Guess these people never heard that honey works better than vinegar. Talk about holding a grudge! Warren had the audacity to disagree with Sanders. In public, no less. And now she has the audacity to keep running against the wishes of the Berners.

Hummmm. Maybe that means Elizabeth Warren intends to use her own instincts and not be bullied. Might want to recall Warren's tag line:

Nevertheless, she persisted.

Read it again, boys. And weep.

We are now stuck with the “my turn” candidate (like Dole, McCain and Clinton) with little voter enthusiasm, especially from young/progressives, and the socialist hated by the establishment who could hurt down-ticket candidates. Warren is the perfect compromise: a progressive with an impeccable record of accomplishments, who gets along with moderates and party establishment. She’s brilliant and fearless and would make an amazing president.

That was one conversation that sealed it for me that it can't be Bernie. I believe Warren's claims about Bernie saying "a woman can't get elected,"

And Bernie's first response when confronted was not to apologize and take ownership of his fault but rather to try to make up a grievance about Warren as if to say "Well, so what, you did such and such a thing!" But, he couldn't so he ended and said we'll talk later.

Warren doesn't owe Bernie a damn thing.
