I am just asking if I am supposed to go along to get along even if I have a visceral dislike for someone. I would not vote for a rep or a third party shill. But theoretically could I just stay home rather than vote for someone who wouldn't be effective in my view? I have managed to raise 5 kids and i have a dozen grandkids thru a wide range of administrations. I see right through pandering. It turns me off..

For every complex problem there is a simple solution. And it is wrong.

7. I see your point

I think there are times where you have to swallow hard and do things that you really don't want to do, because the alternative is much worse. Trump is an authoritarian, who reportedly has a book of Hitler's speeches in a bedside table. This is like no other election this country has had in a very long time. Even if our candidate is not someone you care for, please think carefully before you consider not voting.

I'm not a big fan of David Frum, but he got this right:
