...and Sanders already lost to one candidate who voted for the IWR and has since admitted their mistake (as Biden has).

Every candidate who has been in public office will make mistakes. The first question is whether they can own up to their mistake and learn from them going forward. The second question is whether or not they "hit more than they miss" and make progress more oftentimes than not, even if they have a misstep here and there. Biden has owned up to his mistake in trusting the Bush administration in regard to Iraq and there is no doubt that many of the policies he has championed through the decades have been made our country a better place as whole. Some of his votes may be questionable, but once again, the same can be said for any candidate that has been in office for that many years (e.g., just look at Sanders and his pro-gun votes and pro-gun manufacturer votes).

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

a career politician.

Something like the Brady Law, and not Sierra Blanca. Perhaps serving as VP or the head of a consumer protection bureau that one was instrumental in starting.

Something more than amendments added on after the hard teamwork and compromise of authoring a bill has been done by others.

The ability to smile, buoyancy, the ability to inspire something more than rage in people - you know, like FDR was able to do.

Health.
