Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI muted Bernie and can't help noticing how angry he looks
His body language, finger waving, non-smiling affect, lack of warmth are off-putting.
I know that demeanor isn't everything, but it does count for something. And I wonder how a female or minority candidate would be viewed and assessed if if they appeared this way.

(3,175 posts)Bernie strikes me as a cantankerous old coot. Sometimes cantankerous old coots can be amusing, but Bernie just comes across as perpetually angry. His finger-wagging and hollering just irks me. On occasion the President needs to scold using the bully pulpit, but not all the damn time.
We need someone with a calm, steady demeanor after four years of Dolt 45. That's Joe Biden. I'd be willing to bet he can get angry with the best of them, but he doesn't seem like he's raging out constantly.

(18,837 posts)It's his prerogative to set the tone that he thinks will work best for him. It didn't work for me. This is not his night. That doesn't mean he had to deliver a depressing, pessimistic speech. It just means that the remarks he delivered tonight weren't in alignment with the results I'm seeing as they come in.

Biden's was visionary. One of the best I've seen him give.
On CNN, they are pointing out that Biden's speech was from a teleprompter.
