Limits Bernie's delegate haul in any state she competes in.

We want a very big gap between Joe and Bernie in delegates heading into Milwaukee.

And not because Warren had to pull votes from Sanders. If someone is more electable, they should prove it.

I can see it backfiring against Biden if she stays in too long, actually. i.e., "What are her motivations?", "Bernie would win if the establishment weren't conspiring against him", etc.

Sadly, I think tonight is her last hurrah in this primary. What a brilliant woman, one of the best things to come along in politics for some time. Who knows? Maybe she'll be on a ticket this fall

Were Warren to stay to the end (or at least well past her viability) and Biden won, there would be a cloud over Biden's victory. Plenty of Sanders people especially would never let Biden hear the end of that. "You only won because Elizabeth Warren stayed in." Biden defeating Sanders one-on-one would lay to rest any claims about his electability or whether Sanders is a stronger candidate.

Just trying to help Biden.

If Joe accrues enough delegates to win on the first ballot, there will still be complaints that the fix was in, "the establishment" stole the nomination from Bernie, it's not fair, etc. etc. To some of the Sanders folks, admitting any fault on the part of their candidate is anathema, it seems.

If we wind up with a brokered convention, expect the complaints to be particularly bitter.

No way. I will totally disrespect her if she does that. Bernie pulled that stunt in 2016, and many revile him for that. Many think his ugly fight to the death is what gave us Donald Trump.
Elizabeth has absolutely no path to the nomination after tonight. None. And superdelegates will never pull someone in that position across the finish line. It will only weaken the eventual nominee and splinter the party further.

Okay, I’m really firm on this: she ends her campaign soon or loses all credibility henceforth.

25. She's falling well short of what 538 projected for her
Wed Mar 4, 2020, 12:35 AM
Mar 2020

She's below 15% delegate threshold in most of the states - currently including TX & CA.

538 projected 162 delegates for her tonight. Aside from the disappointing 10 delegates from her home state, she only has 3 delegates so far from the rest of the states. She's still 5 delegates behind Buttigieg with a total of 21. So she's a non factor in trying to broker the convention as her delegate count is so tiny relative to the 771 super delegates.

The press for her from this point forward for the contests ahead is not going to be great. Her delegate take is not likely to improve. She shouldn't embarrass herself.

I think she's a wonderful woman. A national treasure. If she'd handled M4A better, she might have been in the thick of it tonight.

But it is not to be this year.

If I were to vote in a presidential
