California early returns.

Bernie 27, bloomberg 20. Biden 17.

Bernie will likely win it but its three viable candidates so
I don't think he will get the huge haul he needed.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Only 4% of the vote was counted when the call was made. I'm about to turn in now and I believe things may be a bit different by the time I wake up.

If 3 candidates reach viability, Sanders is denied delegates he desperately needs to keep up with Biden.

If so, it bodes well for Biden because same day vote will skew towards him.

According to polling of California voters by Paul Mitchell, the vice president of Political Data, support for Bloomberg was much stronger among voters who submitted their ballots through Friday, compared to voters who mailed in their ballots since Saturday or voted at the polls. Biden, meanwhile, gained significantly among the late voters. In an email, Mitchell told me that if these results hold up, “Bloomberg will be in second to begin the night, and he will fall, and fall, and fall, possibly for weeks,” while other candidates will gain as more votes are counted.

Bernie isn’t going to get the landslide he needs here. Biden will easily stay viable, he’ll leave CA with plenty of delegates, and he’s running the table everywhere else.
