Bernie sees a reality where working people can survive without working two jobs and hanging over the abyss wondering when they will be knocked off, where climate justice is a priority, and where corporate America is held accountable.

How does Joe’s reality cope with these issues.

Blue no matter who,
but never quiet about pushing for social and climate justice.

Sanders stayed in for months after it was obvious he had no chance, then he tried to get the superdelegates to switch.

what absolute fierce opponents they were. Their mutual animosity might well have cost JFK the Presidency had there not been some "meeting of the minds."

It would be nice if some kind of detente' could be achieved, some accommodation that would prevent a divisive (TRUMP-REWARDING) nomination battle going forward. One that would ensure Sanders honestly works without hesitation to unite his own supporters around the nominee, assuming it is not himself.

I think it will have to be something to appease the Bernie supporters - meaning not just Bernie but something "concrete" - don't know what that would be.

Bernie campaigned a LOT for HRC in 2016 - and I do think he'd do the same in 2020. But that still might not be enough (for some of them) unless they "get something" out of it. And I do think there will be a lot of em.

I certainly don't think vp either - like I said don't know what it would be. But we'll need all hands on deck to beat trump.

If history is any indicator... the answer to your question is "no".

Or will he continue to fight for the nomination?
That's what he will claim to be doing, but whether unintended or not, the actual result will be to create division, suspicion and distrust within the Democratic party. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

by the mere quoting of the rules. According to them, it would be overturning the will of the people. Sanders voiced similar arguments. So, for the scenario mentioned in the OP, Sanders and his supporters will be 100% behind Biden. Otherwise, it would be just picking and choosing whatever is convenient...

Bloomberg and Warren will endorse Biden pretty soon and Joe will rack up huge wins moving forward. He will cruise well past 2,000 delegates. I think Bernie should step down. Maybe Obama can talk him into it.
