I wish Biden would admit he's not a rock star...a good thing because

he should take the position that he effectively is a stand-in for others...Klobuchar, Pete, Boxer, Reid, Beto, Clyburn, even Sanders and especially all of us. We are him.

We don't necessarily need another cult figure, someone to worship. We need someone to carry on for us. He didn't surge ahead because of his charisma, articulation, brilliance, or wonkiness. He surged because lots of people with varied backgrounds need representation and placed their bets on a good, caring, empathetic guy with lots of support from others we trust. Clyburn said as much.

And I think he does better when he's not trying to be a rock star, the best debater, the fastest loudest talker, the best orator, etc.. That's not him, or us. When Biden is at his best is when he is himself...then we can feel like we are up there with him. This is a different path than Obama took, and a necessary one.

Candidates evolve on the campaign trail. Hope he finds that authentic place soon.

Even now as he embraces success for example, he tells everyone Klobuchar won every debate.

Joe isn’t the rock star type.

That is impossible in my mind because of how they feel about our party in general. He is a genuine and authentic as they get, sorry to disagree but you are off the mark on this.

groups. I musta been born cynical because I've NEVER looked upon anyone in politics, religion
or any endeavor as a "Rock Star". I voted for Barack twice and still disagree with him on some points.
I voted for Hillary knowing she wasn't a Saint but still supporting her as the best qualified for the job.
That's just me. Some people are like me and some aren't. Get over it, be yourself and allow Joe the same privilege.

"he should take the position that he effectively is a stand-in for others...Klobuchar, Pete, Boxer, Reid, Beto, Clyburn, even Sanders and especially all of us. We are him."

That would be a great way to lose the election to Trump. He doesn't needed to take any such position even if it's true.
