The Joe supporters on this board deserve some kudos

They stuck with him when the prospects seemed dim. I am truly surprised by the size and scope of his comeback. It's as if his supporters on this board knew it all along.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I knew the younger candidates would drop out sooner or later. I'm frankly surprised that Buttigieg lasted as long as he did - he will certainly be a strong candidate the next time we do this. The others all did well too, and they bowed out at the right time.

I always knew this was Joe Biden's race though, once he decided he wanted to run it. Bernie is going to make trouble just like he did in 2016.

Infuriated by MSM bias, dismissal, and constant bashing. That to me was a disgrace. He at least deserved a bit of respect and fairness for his years of service, during which time he earned the respect of many across the nation and beyond. And as a particularly well qualified candidate bringing an unmatched resume, he should never have been treated as “a joke” (Van Jones).

I was never that arsed about it anyway, as we all make misspeaks, but the MSM went OTT far far too many times, to the point he so wrongly became an object of ridicule from some of the worst offenders.

The first few primaries/caucuses didn't concern me in any way, because I knew that the heavy hitters hadn't been up to bat yet.

"Super Tuesday" was only the beginning.

Next Tuesday March 10, there are primaries in Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, North Dakota (caucus) and Washington state.

The week after that, March 17, it's primaries in Arizona, Florida, Illinois and Ohio.

I'm proud to say I'm one of them! Early on, I was leaning strongly toward Elizabeth and Mayor Pete, and briefly, Bernie, too. But for me, it all came down to who has the broadest appeal to the most voters, not just Democrats, but also independent voters, Obama voters who voted for Trump, and those Republican voters who are fundamentally good people (they're out there!) but who got hoodwinked by Don the Con and voted for the Orange Menace because at the time they didn't know just how evil he was. Now they know, and the ones with morals, a conscience, and a shred of human decency will not vote for him again.

The only way to get these non-Democratic voters on our side is to nominate a moderate candidate. If these were normal times, I think a progressive could win, but it would be close. And we can't take a chance on "close." Not with Russia doing everything it can to mess with the election. Not with Trump and his supporters and the Republican members of Congress more than willing to do ANYTHING to win this election: lie, cheat, steal, bully, intimidate, and ridicule, as well as shenanigans like purging voter rolls, messing with voting locations, inflammatory social media and website campaigns, and, oh, yeah, extorting foreign governments to dig up dirt on the Democratic candidate (almost forgot that one!).

I mean, I don't know if it's true yet, but is Trump really going to dump Pence and pick Nikki Haley for his running mate instead? Who does that? This is not surprising behavior coming from Trump, but has any other president discarded his vice president this way?

So yeah, I am still all in for Joe and very happy to see all the well-deserved endorsements he is now getting. Thank you, Amy Klobuchar and Mayor Pete and Beto O'Rourke, in particular! But I'm still more than a bit miffed that, before South Carolina, all the news media, even MSNBC, had written Joe off after just two states had held their caucus/primary. Fortunately, they suck at predicting voter behavior. That is, "fortunately" they sucked at it this time. It sure would have been nice to know in 2016 that the pox that is Trump was about to be cast upon us.
