Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumSanders Press Conference quick notes:
"We are basically neck and neck." WHAT??
"This campaign is about what side you are on", now going on about "Wall Street, Political Establishment, Fossil Fuel Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, Corporate Media, etc."
"They're working frantically trying to defeat us."
"Venom we're seeing in the corporate media"
"Biden's campaign in being funded by the corporate establishment, at least 60 billionaires."
This is essentially his stump speech and then drifted into a bashing of Biden and and the "Wall Street bailout", "Iraq War", "Cutting Social Security", "Prescription drug industry involved in price-fixing and collusion".
"I don't want this to become a campaign in which we attack each other"!!! REALLY?

I can only imagine that Jane must be secretly thrilled at the prospect of being able to go home to one of their three houses (probably the cozy lakeside one in Vermont) and that she won't have to continue to do campaign appearances whenever it's over... etc etc etc.

(5,969 posts)Doubling down on what hasn't worked, he wants to go full scorched earth. That's how you go beyond your base.
Yes, Dems are working hard to defeat someone who is extremely divisive and dishonest. It's a pity Bloomberg prevented decisive Biden victories in CA, Texas and TN.

(19,558 posts)Yesterday should have been a lesson in how attacking Democrats for supporting our party leads to said Democrats not voting for you. But, nope.
