Taking on the Dem establishment means taking on those Dems who impeached Trump

The establishment Democrats in the House of Representatives are the ones that put their political careers on the line to impeach a sitting president. They did so in lock step agreement when a lot of people thought that they never would.

To run against them from the left is an insult to all Democrats.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The anti-establishment theme is too much. Look at other countries and talk to immigrants. It is not so very corrupt here.

Today, he’s not. Bernie has been talking like that for forever and a day. Yesterday, we needed to pay attention to what he had to say. Today, we don’t. Biden WILL BE our nominee, and anything Bernie has to say, at this point, is background noise, even if he’s right.

That’s just what I see.

Not good enough. You can shrug til the cows come home but we have been here before. Keep that anger stoked. Get that misogyny and racism and homophobia from his mouth people of Cenk and Rogan really loud, for the next 6 months. And see how that does for this race. No.

I am not shrugging because we have been here before. You had a thread that you voted for Sanders and if he can get anything done didn't matter. So your vote was for the divisiveness, not for policy. If that was the case, you would have voted Warren. So no. It is not just background noise. It is beating a drum.

Joe Biden

The party rejected my preferred candidate. I am processing that fact. I am trying to deal with this new reality. For the good of the party as a whole, I am inviting you to back off--use kid gloves. Be kind, if you can. This is a time for party unity. You are dividing the party if you are attacking me now. Bernie's gonna say what Bernie's gonna say. I am not Bernie.

was because of your candidate. It is not only about Sanders and his voters. You want kid gloves for the sake of the blue wave? Back at you.

Those establishment Dems, especially Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, waters, swalwell, and the house majority are the only thing that has stood between the American people and total destruction of our democracy by dotard, the Russians and the gop!

when she's been a Dem all her life and she feels like she's been targeted...

This is why a dumbassed epithet like "establishment" is so dangerous. It should have been permanently killed after 2016, and why??

BECAUSE ALL OF THE CANDIDATES IN THIS RACE ARE "ESTABLISHMENT" AND THAT INCLUDES ST. BERNARD SANDERS!!

When "establishment" gets thrown around without any detail or dividing line, everyone can point fingers at everyone else and the debate always dissolved to some zero-sum game where the litmus test for "real" liberals is too nitpicky for any person on the planet to pass. Enough breath has been wasted on this bullshit. You might as well call people "witches" since it's just as scientific.

I made the challenge to DU five years ago, and I'll make it again: *STOP* using "establishment" as some kind of insult if you can't tell me some universal criteria of what makes that group of politicians over there "establishment" and the other group next to them not...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
