Warren to think through her future, top aide says
By Annie Linskey
3/4/2020, 1:50:34 p.m.
DETROIT Elizabeth Warren's campaign manager, Roger Lau, told staffers in an email Wednesday that the campaign was "disappointed in the results" of the Super Tuesday vote and that Warren would decide her path forward in coming days.
Shes going to take time right now to think through the right way to continue this fight, Lau wrote, according to a copy of the email. Adding that Warren is aware of the high stakes in the primary and the general election, he wrote, This decision is in her hands, and its important that she has the time and space to consider what comes next.
The Warren campaign was still waiting for additional results to determine how many delegates Warren had won from the 14 states that voted Tuesday. Early results showed her capturing just 36 of the 1,357 delegates at stake, though that number could grow as California, which provides the biggest trove of delegates, continues to tabulate its numbers.
Still, no outcome would significantly soften the reality of Warrens poor performance Tuesday, especially given that the Massachusetts senator was once seen as a top candidate in the field. She came in fourth in several states and finished third in her home state of Massachusetts, behind former vice president Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

(8,052 posts)1. Finishing third in the state that you currently represent in the US Senate
means you are pretty much finished, I think.

Especially in a primary.
Had Dean not collapsed in Iowa and NH, he would have made a race of it in Mass. college students? Ornery voters?

I'm with her as long as she chooses to persist.
May she receive good and competent advice.

I continue to believe she is the most intelligent and creative of all the candidates.
