maybe waiting in long voter lines is due to voter choice as much as suppression.

watching the long line vids and hearing the complaints is sad for sure. but in texas and california there is early voting and or mail in voting and or same day voting. If all those line waiters had voted early as allowed they might have avoided the lines. Changes are due for sure but effective promotion of early options is much needed. Maybe I like Mike can spend a few bucks on this issue

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Many could have possibly not voted the same either, if they had voted early. LizBeth Mar 2020 #1

the neighborhoods where the lineups were and the stations that were closed. This was voter suppression pure and simple

But the answer is not early voting. Especially a primary where things are shifting. It could be a wasted vote if someone drops out. What is the point then. But yes, it is blatantly and ugly suppression of vote.

(at least in my jurisdiction) on the same day .. so even fence sitters can avail themselves of that option.

but the OP is right .. those places that perpetually have "issues" and "problems" .. need to get their damned act together. "Same day registration" and all that is nonsense .. if people are waiting in line for hours. What you need is more polling places .. and more machines!
