Joe Biden is not Hillary 2.0

Joe Biden is not Hillary 2.0 — he is an older white male. Biden can cut into Trump’s white male base, particularly in the swing states.

The DNC is not why Biden is winning. Black voters are why Biden is winning. Black voters are loyal to the Obama/Biden Administration.

Moderate Democrats won in 2018 when we took back the House of Representatives. Far-left progressives lost in 2018.

If we want to win Congress to actually pass legislation (something Bernie knows nothing about), we cannot have a socialist platform.

Socialism doesn’t win the states we need for both the Electoral College & Congress.

The youth vote hasn’t turned out for Bernie. There is no revolution.

Biden gives us a higher black turnout & a higher suburban woman turnout — two groups that vote in way higher numbers than the youth do.

Historically, Democrats don’t win when we have a far-left spoiler (ie: Ralph Nader & Bernie Sanders).

Trump & Russia are helping Bernie because they know he is a weaker nominee. But once Trump & Russia go from helping Bernie to attacking him, his polling will plummet.

Trump is stating the DNC is rigging the primary against Bernie for the second time in a row. Why? So enough Bernie Bro’s stay home or vote 3rd party (just like they did in 2016). Pure manipulation.

Bernie came out of nowhere and screwed Hillary. Now he is trying to screw Joe Biden. Russia masterminded this entire operation according to the Congressional Report.

In 2016, Bernie called Planned Parenthood & the Human Rights Campaign part of the “establishment” when they endorsed Hillary.

Now, in 2020, Bernie is calling black voters the “establishment.”

Bernie and his supporters don’t realize that politics is the art of addition, not subtraction.

None of the supporters of the candidates who dropped out like Bernie. Why? Because him and his supporters are nasty. They don’t build coalitions. They don’t unify. They divide & help Trump.

“Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.” ~George Santayana

On top of that, wit Clinton out of the picture, Sanders is not the designated anti-Clinton. Something that gave him a boost in 2016 and that help Obama in 2008.

Thu Mar 5, 2020, 04:45 AM
Mar 2020

I'd add that Sen. Sanders' numbers were down across the board in just about every state so far. The bloom seems to be off his rose. All three of the other "moderates" (as if Joe Biden's not a liberal) withdrawing and endorsing Joe Biden was just absolutely remarkable. I have to give mad props to Beto O'Rourke for showing up to campaign with Biden at the last minute in Texas, too.

I liked Hillary a lot, but the fact of the matter is that Biden has so little dirt on him that Mr. Trump had to commit treason in an (unsuccessful) attempt to bribe the leader of Ukraine to get some on him. Sen. Sanders can't run against Hillary Clinton anymore.

he has never impressed me as anything more than a lifelong safely-ensconced Senator type of guy. Obama chose him mostly to help reassure older and working class whites in 2008, and I was OK with that but never got excited about him running for the Presidency afterward, although in hindsight he may have done better for us in 2016. He's certainly got his rabid supporters, but I assume most people just think he's a decent, affable, acceptable guy--but if there's a group with very negative attitudes towards him as you refer to, that's the first I've heard of it.

Actually has Bernie's geographic vote areas more closely mirroring Hillary's, while Biden's mirror Bernie's 2016 areas.

But that's going to be disaster for Bernie in Michigan because Biden's going to clean up in Detroit and the rural areas and the suburbs. In 2016 Bernie won most areas outside metro Detroit, and Hillary's vote there with low A-A turnout was just not enough to keep up. This time, there won't be low A-A turnout in metro, it will be mostly for Biden, and Bernie won't even win northern and western Michigan to offset it. It has the makings of a severe wipe-out.

I’ll take the opinion of actual objective scholars who studied the Election over her.

She led the race multiple times by wide Margins after Bernie conceded and Endorsed her. In fact, she had the Election won till Comney pulled his stunt.

There is not a single bit of tangible evidence to support the claims that Bernie had any negative affect on her campaign. If he had such an impact that wouldn’t have happened.

There is, however, a mountain of statistical evidence that Comney cost her the election.

It is just vindictiveness of sore winners against the runner up in the 2016 primary. The Bernie Bros of the center left.

Bernie's campaign hacked into Hillary's campaign. Remember?

Bernie's supporters threw dollar bills at Hillary and called her a "corporate whore."

People are mad at how Bernie's surrogates and online supporters behave. People had to hide their support for Hillary online due to the abuse they faced from online Bernie supporters. Elizabeth Warren and her supporters have faced the same abuse (sexism). That's why Warren won't back Bernie. Bernie doesn't play nice. Never has. Never will.

Sanders brought a greater percentage of his supporters to Clinton than Clinton brought of her supporters to Obama.

63. Sanders waited a full month to endorse Clinton. It took Clinton less than a week to endorse Obama.

Hillary had to keep fighting Sanders for an entire month after it was clear she was the winner.

Hillary wasn't allowed to fight Trump one-on-one for an entire month after it was obvious she was going to beat Bernie.

Obama was able to move into general election mode far quicker than Clinton.

Bernie taking forever impacted the general election, moderate/undecided voters, momentum, and multiple weeks of campaigning and media coverage.

Hillary had a two-front war for far longer than Obama.

Again that is not being a spoiler...by definition.

And he went on a book tour. So what? Was the title of the book “don’t vote for Hillary?” And talk about conspiracy theories! “He went on a book tour to undermine Hillary!” Do you have any proof of that? A recording of him saying that? Or is that person Psychic?

And don’t forget Wevare discussing after endorsing Clinton and even chastising his followers during the convention!

He stumped for her at least a dozen times and was even booed as a sell out! But he kept on stumping for her!

https://www.newyorker.com/news/amy-davidson/bernie-sanderss-hard-fight-for-hillary-clinton

The link in the tweet itself notes that and mentions the many of the appearances he made!

And contrary to what the linked tweet says, Hillary stayed in the race after she was mathematically was eliminated from getting a majority as well:

http://centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/articles/did-bernie-sanders-cost-hillary-clinton-the-presidency/

And there is no evidence provided in those tweet proving he ever told anyone not to vote for Clinton. An outright LIE!!!

Let me end this QUOTING the link from the TWEET you provided:

In the final three months before Election Day 2016, Sanders held 39 rallies in 13 states on behalf of Clinton’s campaign, according to Jones, including 17 events in 11 states in the last week alone. When he went to New Hampshire, which borders Sanders’ home state of Vermont, he did not use a private jet to get there.

Yeah that is so totally mainly writing and selling a book!

Get snark.

Point out their own link disproves them.

Point ignored.

Classic response of a person defending an indefensible position.

I watched sanders first speech where he was supposed to endorse Hillary and two speeches at the national convention including the speech after sanders supporters caused a mini riot at the Texas delegation breakfast by demanding that we condemn Hillary and vote for sanders. At the speech to the Texas delegation at the delegation breakfast the next morning following the horrible conduct by his delegates, sanders talked about himself for the first 25 minutes before he even mention Hillary’s name. sanders only talks about one subject which is himself. There were members of the Texas delegation who were hoping for some healing and were disappointed in sanders.

I stayed in contact with my Convention whip who worked for the Clinton campaign. He told me that all or most of sanders’ speeches followed this pattern.

Again I am amused by people who think that sanders tried to help the Clinton campaign.
