Warren could be VP pick and not result in republican appointee as replacement (at least for long)

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/warren-or-sanders-presidency-could-cost-democrats-senate-seat-n1032421
Yet there is a possible workaround in Massachusetts that could shorten the window for a Republican appointment and a special election if Warren becomes president.

Under state law, an outgoing senator could file a letter of resignation, triggering the 145- to 160-day period to hold a special election — but not make the resignation effective until a later date.

So Warren could file that letter the day after Election Day — or even earlier during the general-election campaign — to expedite the date of the special election and minimize the time of any Republican replacement.

This scenario was floated when Warren was a vice presidential possibility for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

And then Kamala as AG??
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Not only to solidify the African-American vote, but also to solidify the Hispanic, Asian, Muslim communities, disaffected Republicans, Independemts, and Youth vote.

A more UNITED America will defeat Trump and his dangerous ideology. Secure the independence of the Supreme Court (which is on the ballot), etc.

If Biden is the nominee there is a chance to retake the senate. It’s likely to be a razor thin majority if it happens. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to pull a senator out of a safe seat, then turn it over to a Puke governor for a while as a special election becomes a national story, like it did for the special election for ted Kennedy’s seat that went to a puke in the end. I see no benefit at all to this.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

With all due respect to Senator Warren I think we need someone younger in the VP slot, preferably a person of color or a younger woman.
