Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumJoe Biden Is Clobbering Bernie Sanders 61%-12% In Florida.....Go Joe...😎 🌞 🏝
More than 61% of likely Florida voters favor Biden, according to the most recent survey by St. Pete Polls commissioned by Florida Politics (the full PDF of the poll is embedded below). That gives the former Vice President a commanding lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, at 12%, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, with 5%
Joe Biden is set to roll in Florida. Sanders will need most of Warrens former supporters just to reach delegate viability in the state. With California looking like it is not going to provide the delegate haul that Sanders was hoping for, Florida could be setting up Biden to expand his delegate lead.
Sanders might get blown out in Mississippi and Missouri. Biden is also leading in Michigan. If Biden blows out Sanders in Florida, he may roll through the remaining contests and into Milwaukee as a solid frontrunner

(10,156 posts)Once Biden wins Florida and Michigan that's the end of the story. There's no other places Bernie can pick up delegates to overcome that. After the 17th. Bernie should consider dropping out for the sake of the party before his Bros cause shit again.

(3,300 posts)We voted early on absentee ballot for Joe. Now in Michigan all can vote with absentee. Which will reduce going to polls..a lot already voted this way....
And Sanders is coming to Grand Rapids...Sunday...oh well.most already voted by mail....
But they will not count ballots until march 10th

(10,156 posts)We have two candidates. Most of Bloomberg's supporters are gonna be for Biden. A chunk of Warren's will go to Biden. He'll take the early vote and same day.

(3,696 posts)He's on record saying the candidate with the most delegates going into the convention should get the nomination. Of course he thought that would be him at the time he said it. If he doesn't exit the race as soon as it becomes evident he has no path he'll lose all credibility.

(10,156 posts)Bernie has a huge ego. If he goes to the convention with a thousand or less then he deserves to lose all credibility. He won't win the second ballot either and that's when they'll cause a disruption like in 2016. Bernie and his bros are helping Trump because of their pettiness and not getting their way. I'm so sick of his bros. They need to crawl back under a rock and stay there.

(3,479 posts)Bernie has a monster ego, but even he must realize how damaging Trump has been to the progressive agenda. Four more years of that clown would be fatal.

(11,605 posts)Post-Super Tuesday. He said that if Biden has more elected delegates at the end of the primaries Biden should be the nominee.
The only way he should exit the race before the last vote is cast is if Biden actually reaches 1990. Otherwise he owes it to the people in the later states to stay in so they at least have some semblance of a choice.

(42,862 posts)Agreed. Lessons learned from the past tell us that it's never a good idea for any politician to spend time feeling sorry for themselves. Those first few days are crucial in helping his (or her, whatever) supporters to get beyond their own grief and to see the bigger picture. I certainly hope that things are different this time.
Joe/Kamala or Biden/Harris 2020!!
Jump on the Biden Bandwagon & abandon the revolution!!
