But I think Joe is going to pick a POC as his running mate, likely a woman.

primary today, I would vote for:

She would be a wonderful pick for VP, but WHEN we win the White House, then her Senate seat will be filled (at least temporarily) by a Republican Governor. Ultimately, there would be a special election, but we may need every single Senate seat to stay in Dem hands. After the election, if we have a cushion of seats, then maybe she could be put in the new Cabinet.

And, I don't think having a ticket with two people over 70 will play well.

And he's not a complete nut-bag of a Republican. But he would put a Republican placeholder in there until a special election could be called. We need every Blue seat in the Senate that we can get!

of 16 grueling yrs of professional life ahead. We need to remember that age is relevant as we are nominating people beyond or close to the end of an avg. life span because we do not have a deep bench of middle aged Democratic office holders. Because the GOP does.
Dems in congress and state houses across the country need to up their mentoring game to get us a deeper bench.

Choosing someone who can motivate more left-leaning voters may be more important than "electoral college" considerations, in that I'm not sure there are many candidates who are likely to get him any states he won't get anyway, provided he does indeed unite the party. I guess you could make a case for Beto maybe putting Texas further into play, but I think it would be awfully hard for him to pick a white guy.

It isn't my intention to be rude but you aren't thinking.
1. We don't need TWO 70 year old people on the ticket.....
2.The governor of Mass is a Republican. He would make
an interim appointment.....naturally, of a Republican.
Warren cannot be in a Democratic administration.
Besides, she promised that she would serve her entire 6 year term....not that any politician is required to keep such a promise.
