Bernie Sanders campaign spokesman on CNN

Bernie Sanders campaign spokesman on CNN just said Bernie Sanders really needs Elizabeth Warren's endorsement but she is torn between her values and party insiders. He went on to explain how important it is for her to do this to consolidate the progressive vote.

This is insulting. This is not how you're going to get an endorsement. It likely has nothing to do with "party insiders" and more to do with sticking with her values. Maybe, just maybe it's hard for people to endorse the behavior that comes from his campaign. When you endorse someone you don't just put your name on policy but also character, decency and values.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I do not think that the idea of Warren supporting Sanders is necessarily the lock that some Sanders supporters might think it is. Perhaps Warren is still thinking about what she said after that debate a little while back:

"I think you just called me a liar..." she said.

Then, of course, there were all of the snake emojis from the Sanders supporters, implying that Warren was a snake. How many Biden supporters sent out snake emojis, I wonder?

He was leading in Massachusetts and she didn't appear to be a threat to beat him there and even if she had, delegates would have been split proportionally. Biden was beaten in Massachusetts, so he posed no threat. What did Sanders do? He went to Massachusetts and held a big rally literally in Warren's backyard, since her home in Cambridge is not far away. His objective was to humiliate her, he could not let her have one shining moment before she dropped out. His action blew up in his face, voters that may have voted for him in Massachusetts seem to have bailed, he got humiliated by Biden in a state where Sanders was way ahead of Biden. Maybe if Sanders had not been continuously trying to erase Warren during the whole campaign, including humiliating her in her home state, he would have her endorsement in the bag, in a race that likely would have looked somewhat different from how it looks today.

There is no need to give her endorsement out frivolously. She should be judicious, and probably will eventually endorse Joe.

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if she pulled the Obama move and doesn't endorse until after the convention. Why should she?

Bernie has never really been someone who tempers his abrasive style in the interest of gaining support. He's trying to win the Dem party candidacy while attacking all the people he will need to support him should he win.
