Bernie must apologize

This is revolting.

?s=20

Numerous prominent Bernie Sanders supporters have been claiming for three days now, with zero proof, that Biden has dementia. Several of them all at once. It’s clearly organized. And rather incredible, considering Sanders is turning 79 soon, and had a recent heart attack.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Fri Mar 6, 2020, 06:14 PM
Mar 2020
https://washingtonmonthly.com/2020/03/06/the-disinformation-campaign-being-launched-against-biden/

The Bernie Sanders presidential campaign is disavowing a list of post-Super Tuesday talking points distributed to supporters and surrogates on Wednesday morning that suggest Sanders partisans attack a resurgent Joe Biden on his “record and obvious cognitive decline.”

The material, seen by Newsweek, was posted on various social media sites and on internal WhatsApp groups for supporters of the independent Vermont senator as an official campaign communique, but Sanders communications director Mike Caspa said he’d never seen it before.

“That’s not a real document,” he told Newsweek. “It’s not ours.”

“This is now a 2-person race, and there will be heightened scrutiny on Biden’s record and obvious cognitive decline,” the document reads.

Includes tweet by Greenwald and others

<big snip...read it >

Biden “digresses and gets tangential, that’s not cognitive decline,” Lynne Meyer, a California psychologist told Yahoo News. “Trump’s cognitive decline or problems are that he doesn’t even seem to have comprehension of reality. That’s what it looks like.”

We are about to be subjected to a massive disinformation campaign against Joe Biden, and this one will be particularly pernicious. But for those of us who are fact-based, it is important to keep in mind that there is no data to support the allegations that are being made.

That goes for the rest following suit spreading lies. Using this heartbreaking disease for political gain is beneath contempt.

There was an 89% increase in deaths due to Alzheimer’s between 2000 and 2014.

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s.

By 2050, it’s estimated there will be as many as 16 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s.

Every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer’s.

By 2025, the number of people aged 65 and older with Alzheimer’s disease is expected to reach 7.1 million people, a 27% increase from the 5.6 million age 65 and older in 2019.

1 in 3 seniors dies with some form of dementia.

https://www.alzheimers.net/resources/alzheimers-statistics/

My father died from Alzheimer, a heartbreaking debilitating disease with no. I lost my father years before he died. He never knew me.

I don’t speak for anybody but myself. Sen Sanders condemned the attacks on his opponents in His Wednesday interview with Rachel. That’s good enough for me. I don’t know why the Biden supporters expend so much energy on Sanders, when the real threat is a Trump 2nd term. I support Bernie, but will gladly vote for Biden

for the Biden campaign, and Biden didn't say it. If Bernie feels that Biden has to apologize for Rosen, then I think Bernie has to apologize for Cenk.

But I guess it's OK when Bernie does it.

Big difference between Cenk saying it and the Sanders campaign. He is not on the Sanders campaign or a spokesperson.

Which I think is the point. Why should Biden have to apologize for something a media supporter said and not Bernie? Bernie’s the one calling on Biden to apologize in a laughingly bad attempt to hurt Biden’s standing in the black community.
