The corporate media, as usual, needs to do SERIOUS soul searching to determine how Elizabeth Warren

lost by such huge margins in the primaries.

Stating the obvious, I suppose, my guess is big pharma, wall st., and military/industrial, misc. corporate money drove the pundits to shut her campaign down.

There has to be a better way to cover candidates truthfully.

Everytime a pundit trashes a candidate, there should be a reference to opensecrets.org that points out who has contributed to the candidates in that race and the amounts given.

Full disclosures need to be emphasized more in these races.

That could have been the superficial reason, but with underlying greed and quest for power being the actual driving force. Just speculating.

I don't know what her relationship is with her home state constituents, but it doesn't look good. Nationally, my own take is that people voted for Biden because they want the primaries to be over and made a "safe" choice, period--they decided it all at once on Super Tuesday, and that's going to be it.

Based on nothing he declared her unelectable every time he was on. And he's the one who brought her up.

because that doesn't exist, or so I've been hearing.

Personally, I think the coverage changed considerably once she mentioned enforcing antitrust laws.

but I will also say, EW operated in the shadows as a milder version of a popular candidate who's been running his massive organization for more than 5 years. She couldn't match all the loud shouting of the male candidates, was far more logical than politics usually rewards, and remains far brighter than most of them. But yes, her message was squeezed out just like Al Gore's environmentalism got squeezed out in 2000. Corporations gonna look out for #1.

10. The media

pigeonholed both Sanders and Warren into the same slot. Whether that was correct or not, she came across as socialism-lite. And numerous people, including posters here, have picked Joe Biden from the get-go because "America won't vote for a socialist for President."

Media fault or voter perception? Your call.

it will be acknowledged that Bernie got a lot of publicity, and the media was transparent giving him time and space but sniping here or there. For voters, two things about the Sanders campaign. The numbers to pay for his large spending programs gave a lot of voters pause, and Bernie fatigue from 2016 which still makes voters uneasy with all 3 candidates, including Trump. In some sense that's not mentioned Bernie didn't begin with a clean slate in 2020, his history from 2016 is still with us.

Joe Biden
