Dear Senator Warren

I am sorry for your loss but, please, do not blame it on "gender"

It was only four years ago when Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. And, remember, she was supposed to have had problem with "likability."

I supported Klobuchar form the beginning. She was going to carry Minnesota but did the patriotic thing, quit and endorsed Biden.

Even now, I don't know why you did not carry Massachusetts. Some here said that you were not popular.

Not everyone liked your plans. You tried to emulate Sanders but, I am guessing, at the end his supporters decided to stick with what they knew. You were for Medicare for all and then you were not.

You offered free college tuition and loan forgiven with trillion of dollars supported by "wealth tax." I suppose that it was too much of a "revolution" for many who just want to return to normalcy. You did not. You declared that other candidates: Delaney and Biden did not belong in the race because they offered more measured solutions.

You attacked Buttigieg for his fund raising event in a "wine cave" while you had your millions from your senate race. Not to mention you net worth which was the highest among all the candidates, except, of course, for Bloomberg and Steyer.

You chose your path of campaigning and it did not attract enough voters. I have never run for office but these are the facts of life.

(I have my own opinion about how this campaign was conducted with "Social media" affecting the viability of the candidates, a different topic.).

So, please, don't blame it on gender. Many of us faced obstacles and loss of jobs but we chose not to blame it on bias.

I wish you well. I am sure you will continue to be an important asset in the Senate.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Seems like women are held to higher standards, though. Warren was accused of proposing impossible plans, but she had numbers to support them, unlike Bernie - who proposed impossible plans without any numbers to support them. But he got away with it while she didn't. She was a much better proponent of the so-called progressive ideas than Sanders, who has been angry and divisive while Warren was inclusive and practical, but he got all the credit. I have to wonder why.

lazy minded media and some low-information supporters of other candidates.

She, along with other academics, spent decades doing the painstaking research that formed the remedies she proposed in her books, and which led to politicians basing some of their economic policies on HER work product.

Sanders is all talk with no accomplishments, while Warren's accomplishments are HISTORIC.

If anything, Sanders has been cribbing from Warren’s work for years.

You also were not truthful in your claim that she was for Med4All then she was not. She is still for Med4All and never changed. She added a reasonable timeline which political opportunists spun into a disgenuous attack on her and her integrity. They knew they were spinning their audiences. Too bad you repeated the spin.

What a crummy post.

there absolutely is sexism and misogyny and the patriarch making it that much tougher for women is a fact. HRC was the only one really running. Sanders didn't even count. Warren was literally held to a different standard than every man in the race. She was erased from the campaign at one point. She was squeaky clean with both men having history of issues and mistakes all over the place, while Warren was raked over the coals for two errors. It absolutely is part of the conversation.

Just because some choose to ignore gender bias (“but we chose not to blame it on bias”) doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Nothing in your post proves that sexism wasn’t a major factor for Hillary, Elizabeth, Kamala or Amy. You don’t measure sexism by a woman’s success. Hillary faced massive sexism and it most certainly hurt her campaign.

The Sexism is real. The Bias is real.

No one should face discrimination based on gender. I don’t know why I used to think all Democrats got that.
