Who do you think has more empathy?

Bernie or Biden?

I asked my sister who is a UU minister in Boston and got an interesting answer from her that I wanted to share.

"Probably Biden. I think Bernie is justice driven, but not relational.

I think he (Bernie) has the consistent message because he isn't influenced by others, which is inherently not empathic. I think he is more driven by what he believes, not by feeling"

I was at a Biden event in New Hampshire, which was largely uninspiring (standard stump speech, no questions). BUT, in the first few minutes he took time to speak to some kids in the front row and it showed a personal side to Biden that I've never seen in Bernie (and I've been to several of his events). Apropos of his historic interest in the USSR and Cuba, he seems to focus on "the masses" but not individuals.

In the end people will vote for the messenger over the message and Joe bring so much more humanity to the table.
