John Kerry in Michigan: Democratic socialist 'not going to be elected president'

Farmington Hills — John Kerry, former U.S. secretary of state and the Democrats' 2004 presidential nominee, told a crowd in Michigan on Saturday that a democratic socialist isn't going to be elected president.

Campaigning on behalf of former Vice President Joe Biden, Kerry made the comment, a swipe at Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, during an Asian American and Pacific Islander Victory Fund event in Farmington Hills. The event took place three days before the primary election in Michigan, where Sanders is looking to halt Biden's moment in the race for the Democratic nomination.

"I’ve got news for you," Kerry said. "You’re not going to be elected president of the United States with that label.”

Kerry, who served as secretary of state under former President Barack Obama, said Biden wants to pay teachers more, expand access to preschool programs and reduce student debt.

put forth by our Democratic Party to kick trump out.. and start healing our Nation immediately.

We need a Uniter who builds coalitions from all across our Diverse Country. One who would know how important it is to go be with John Lewis in Selma, Alabama, on Bloody Sunday, instead of going to a rally in California.

2. Mostly, because it's an oxymoron. Socialism can never be democratic.

People won’t vote away their property rights. It always turns into a dictatorship- even by definition (proletariat’s but really - 0.0001%). For the rest, breadlines, and talking outdoors to be out of the range of the mics.

Is the military health care system a socialist plan? Is the VA system a socialist plan?
Or is it a benefit given by the government..
Just change the name of M4A and who ever wins the general passes it. Especially now with the medical problems coming our way. Take back the 1%'er tax break to pay of it..
It's all in the name... Social distancing? or quarantine... Legacy? or old....
High impact fixation device? or hammer.
YMMV
