The Sanders Camp Is "Saying the Thing That Is Not" More and More

I suppose it's desperation, but untruths seem to be flooding out from that campaign. It is claiming, for example, that Biden doesn't want to "stand toe to toe" with Bernie and wants a seated debate. Untrue. Michael Moore is also "saying the thing that is not."

It's impolite to call someone a liar. In Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, the fourth section of the satirical novel has Lemuel Gulliver traveling to the land of the Houyhnhnms. Populated by horses, that land was marked by very careful use of language and reason. The Houyhnhnms had no word for lying. It was a foreign concept to them. The closest they could come to saying that someone lied was to say that someone "said the thing that was not."

So, I won't say that the Sanders campaign is lying. I will simply say that they are "saying the thing that is not" when it comes to talking about Joe Biden, who appears to be surging ahead in the primary elections.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

in the last few days. Every one I see is pissing me off more and more. Turning from implied untruths to downright lies. All this negatively is caustic, Bernie.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

It's desperation time, and voters don't like desperation in a presidential candidate.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
