Sooner Joe runs away with the delegates. The sooner Bernie's bro army fades away into whatever hole they crawled out of. I'm tried of the divisive attacks, false propaganda and misinformation shit they continue to spread.

(146,192 posts)mathematically clinched the nomination. That was demonstrated in the last election cycle.
Biden critics will continue to attack him, but they'll switch to saying they're just "holding his feet to the fire." They did the same to Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012. They did the same to Hillary Clinton.
In so doing, they reveal themselves as something other than just Democrats. There is another level of progressivism that insists that only those who fully support whatever position they take are good enough to deserve their support. They will try to push the candidate as far as they possibly can toward their positions. If they are not as successful as they think they should be, they will shun the candidate altogether.
We have seen some of that here, once a nominee is identified. I expect we will see it again if Biden gets the nomination. They will "hold his feet to the fire" as strongly as they can. How we respond will be important. There's a fine line that is hard to see. Some will step over that line. Others will skirt the line carefully and continue to cast doubt on our nominee.
That's politics. That's DU, I guess, too.
The disputes will not end when the eventual nominee becomes clear. We should not expect them to end. But, we should be prepared for it. Obama overcame it. Hillary almost did, and did win the popular vote. In 2020, we MUST win. There is no alternative.

(31,261 posts)this time that doesn't appear to be happening. I expect the true democrats among them to accept reality and prepare to help Biden win the presidency. But the hardcore ones? They are going to cause as much chaos as they can and most will vote for Trump after. The thing is, we expect their shit this time, last time they caught us by surprise and we tried to get them onboard, to no avail. This time, let's work with the reasonable one and ignore the others. I am confident that our platform will be plenty liberal, and realistic.
