Tiffany Cross On MSNBC - Said Joe Biden has needed a black king maker for all his presidential runs since the 80s and that he and Bernie should name their Sarah Palin to excite the base.

(1,089 posts)What bullshit. I think a lot of folks badly underestimate how much Biden actually helped Obama and not the other way around. More than a few people had reservations about Barack...he didn't exactly have all that much governing experience and time in office still matters to a lot of us.
I supported Biden in 2008 and then switched to Obama when Joe dropped out. Was thrilled when Barack then chose Biden for his VP. He did this for good reason...and it turned out to be a close symbiotic relationship that benefited both of them. Joe never came close to exciting or inspiring voters like Obama did but there's something to be said for old-fashioned competence and hard-earned experience.
We went from No-Drama Obama to Captain Chaos...don't know about the rest of you fine folks but I liked the former a helluva lot more than the latter. And so did the stock market. I'd like to have a President for awhile that I didn't hear about every goddamn day or in my face 24/7. We could use somebody a little like Ike for a while to regain our collective sanity after the last 3 years of sheer madness.
