for Joe of course. It's going to be a busy day for poll workers.

While I was making my breakfast this morning I couldn't help but think how nice it will be after Biden is President to have a calm, competent person in the White House once again. I can't wait for that day. I want to be able to turn on my news and see his sincere smile and not have to reach for the remote and the mute button. I don't thoroughly dislike Bernie, but I think this country just needs some return to sanity. I'm sick of the angry white man syndrome and don't want it in my living room.

...school house. Its actually its own school district. I miss going in there and the smell of the old wood and chalk walking to the gym where it was lit up bright ..the two long tables with the ladies behind their boxes of ballots. The few curtained booths where we filled out PAPER ballots...tear off the strip and insert it into the box..

That's only ever happened to me ONE time. (It was when our early voting location had been moved from the library to the newly constructed community center, so I guess not everyone was aware.)

THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS and the Election Judges. (In Maryland, the Election Judge is basically a volunteer who gets a small stipend... about the same as what a juror would get, I guess... and that only a "reimbursement" for their election day duties. The advanced-training, conference calls, and equipment set-up/breakdown is not really included.) Anyway... what I'm trying to say is that for the most part these individuals are working for you out of the goodness of their heart and their sincere sense of duty and patriotism and community service.

They all deserve our appreciation. I make sure to smile and sincerely thank everyone that I deal with. From the greeter and guiders to the poll-book volunteers, to the ballot "hander-outers" to the counting-machine workers/monitors, to the final person who gives me my "I voted" oval sticker. All volunteers!

Which reminds me: Ever since we switched to our Ooma VOIP "landline" service, we get ZERO robocalls (that make our phone ring) and only one or two robocall voicemails per month (I can live with that). --- Basically, our landline has a whitelist of known callers. If someone is not on the list, they can leave a message, but our phone never rings. Most robocallers and scammers don't bother.

This election season will be our first full-on test to make sure that political callers don't get through. It will be interesting to see how many decided to leave messages.

Small town in far SW Michigan. New poll workers all around. I was their test subject. Got a round of applause after the machine accepted my ballot, lol.

I was surprised that they added a ballot choice this time, Dem, Rep or issues only. They used to give one ballot and you chose which "side" to vote.

Go Joe!!!
