Keeping my Pledge: Losing Michigan, Sanders should drop Out.

Last week, I stated that who ever lost the Michigan Primary should drop out since winning the industrial Mid-West was vital to defeating Trump.

It is clear tonight that Joe Biden will win Michigan and hence is our best bet to win back those Blue Wall states that Trump grabbed in 2016. This is a key step to victory in the General Election.


I pledged last week that I would support the winner of Michigan going forward and ask the loser to drop out of the primary race.

So, it's time for Bernie Sanders to drop out of the race and allow the party to coalesce behind our future nominee, Joe Biden, as soon as possible.

Congratulations to all the long time Biden supporters.

Along with you, I am wishing Joe the best and will be looking forward to him being our next President.

30. I'm truly proud of Michigan today.

The sheer numbers of people who got out and voted, who registered yesterday, who stood in line long after the polls closed, who came together for Biden - I'm full of gratitude for them. In 2018 we showed what a blue wave could do. We elected Dems across the board including in the important positions of Attorney General, Governor, Secretary of State - all women. That is how it's done. I hope we carry it through to November and there are no GOP shenanigans that we can't overcome.

And it’s being rumored he will drop out tomorrow. Essentially, Biden’s the presumptive nominee at this point. Voting Blue. Trump has to go.

As a progressive, Warren and Sanders were my 1st and 2nd choices, but all the candidates are vastly superior to Trump.

It's time to unite the party behind our next nominee and to stop the carping and any sniping from this point on.

It's time for all of us as Democrats to unite behind our next nominee, and that's going to be Joe Biden.

With the uncertainty of COVID-19 and it having been present at a large gathering, the big rallies that Senator Sanders use as the cornerstone of his campaign are just hazardous.

Let Trump have rallies if he wants to, I just hope MAGATS are at least wise enough to stay away from such a petri-dish of infection.

On a personal level, I'm more than fine with Sanders giving it until after next Tuesday. His supporters need to come to grips and that's never easy. They're dealing with some pretty hard blows tonight. Let's respect them while our candidates pivot.

I'm not calling for him to rub salt in their already raw wounds. That's just cruel, and it's not who I want to be as a fellow human and Democrat. I've been in their shoes before and I know how painful it can be. Let's give some respect and a tiny bit of time to them, ok? No harm will be had by doing either.

28. Should but won't. A huge clue to Sanders' ideology and intent is his claim

at virtually every appearance at least once that Democrats are really mostly the same as Republicans. We are not an alternative to them.

America hasn't given proper attention to what kind of person could believe such a thing, but it's looking as if the people may have become concerned anyway.

As for what's ahead, Sanders 2016 role, abetted by Russia, helped turn the nation over to Republicans who promised to eliminate liberalism and progressivism from government. He doesn't say he believes Republican destruction of our democracy would create a path to power for him, but many of his followers believe and have said just that.

So, on to the convention. because I just realized that Sanders delegates, selected once again for aggression, may not have a convention hall to act out in. They were likely already realizing how hard it will be for small numbers to disrupt, and hopefully that real possibility is an additional sad for them tonight.
