That was a Presidential speech, one that no one else in either party could deliver like him. (Original Post) George II Mar 2020 OP

The Country needs it. We have not had a leader for four years. We need someone that actually cares for this country and her people.

Massachusetts called a State of Emergency this afternoon. Our cases doubled overnight.

Stay safe.

the livestream cut me off at the very beginning and I heard part of the end on the radio.

But for that couple minutes, you know, it seemed like we had a real president again. For just a couple minutes.

makes me feel so hopeful. We all need to come together and get Joe elected, Democrats back in control of the Senate and maintain control of the House. Most of all we must never, ever forget our vote does count ... 2016 certainly taught us that.

On that subject, I heard someone say on CNN last night that a Bush advisor told him after the fact they'd actually been more scared of Dean, because he had more enthusiasm behind him.

I've been letting things play out... but, damn! That speech is why he's deemed as so electable. He's amazing at connecting with people on a human level. He's good, and decent and it all shone through in those words.

Yes, it was a presidential speech. It was also a core Biden speech. It's literally who he is.
