But I saw her fall apart when pressed on the costs of her medicare for all plan. I was shouting at the TV, what words she should have used. But to no avail.

She fell into the trap of the media (the media who seem to make most of their money on insurance and Pharma ads, by the way) of talking only about the "cost" of a proper medical plan, and ignoring the savings side. We are flushing 35% of our medical money down the toilet (well, into the the pockets of execs and wall street). Take the remaining money and spend it on a well-managed plan instead of for-profit garbage, and we come out 35% ahead.

(end of rant) Anyway, as a supporter, I think that was the moment she broke. I knew she could do better, but clearly got robotically programmed by well-meaning but clueless advisers.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

-qualified woman of color
-hefty resume, from a large state, can step in as president easily.
-tough, no fear of attacking (Joe himself knows that well, lol).
-battle tested on the campaign trail, no surprises.
-attractive with starpower. this matters, especially with Biden being old. can't have two old or boring people on the ticket.

Klobuchar would be Tim Kaine 2.0, a pick for supposed geographic help, but really adds nothing, as Joe himself polls well in the Midwest and performed well in the primaries there.

To win we need to Obama coalition and Kamala helps on topics Joe will be attacked on, like his past mixed record on women and civil rights. Kamala can win the suburban soccer moms and urban PoC alike.

There are so many extremely qualified Democrat women in the Senate. If the margin weren't so tight I would love to see any of them as Biden's VP. We can't afford to lose any of them right now.

I agree that capturing the Senate is just as important -- if not more important -- than getting Fat Donnie out of the WH. Moscow Mitch has been doing incredible damage to the country by choosing to move only the proposed laws that serve his purpose ("The Grim Reaper" ), and approving every shithead the Tangerine King appoints as a judge, even if he has the qualifications of a grape. (No insult to grapes intended.)

Mitch could give a shit about Trump -- or our country, for that matter. He's like Heddy Lamarr ("That's Hedley!" ) in "Blazing Saddles," who sticks papers in front of the incompetent Governor Lepotomane (who wears a coat with "GOV" emblazoned on the back -- sound like someone we know who can't take off his red hat?) to sign. The governor will sign anything with a big flourish, without having a clue what he's signing, just as long as he gets to scribble his name in large letters.

To Kamala. I was turned off by her cheap shots at Biden earlier in the campaign, but she is very popular and would excite a lot of voters. She is also qualified and would beat Pence over the head in the debates.

Anyone who brings more excitement than Tim Kaine would be preferable honestly. I like Tim, but that guy brought nothing of value other than location in a state we probably would’ve won anyway.

Just thinking how many good competent Democrats there are to staff an administration reminds me of that quote by PJ O'Rourke...

The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it.

Putting Republicans in charge of government is like having an atheist at the pulpit...they don't believe in what they're doing so they naturally suck at it something awful.

....any of those who ran for the nomination. I will spell out my reasons one more time although I have already done it in an OP of a thread I posted several days ago.

1. There are some candidates who I believe will bring little or nothing to his campaign.
2. There are several candidates that would better serve the country, and themselves by staying in the positions they now hold.
3. There are several candidates who would be ideal choices for key positions in a Biden Administration.

Neither is a lock on my choice but right now I'm looking at Val Demings, and Hakeem Jeffries.

You asked. He's my #1 pick.

Yes, he can. Constitutionally, that is. The constitutional term limit amendment states that a president can only be elected twice, and only once if he served out more than two years and one day of a previous President's term. Or, if he was elevated to the presidency as VP less than two years into his predecessors term, he can run twice and serve one day less than ten years total.

But it says nothing at all about a previous President who served two full terms becoming Vice President. If he did wind up succeeding the sitting President, he would not be taking the office by election. He couldn't run again, but he could complete the President's term.

Why not?

He's the only other candidate that would tell a trumplicon at a rally he's full of shit. I want Joe to make it a point to mentor Beto for 4 years on being a statesman, coalition building, navigating a hostile Senate, and rat fuckery detection. Then, as much as I like Joe, turn it over and let the young take it over. Then run the fucking table for the next couple decades with all these new and exciting young Democrat's we have.

candidate into office. Whomever Joe thinks would be LOYAL to him and on the same page. This
is not a merger. A marriage of convenience. The VP is not there to make policy. Anyway, and I don’t think she should have, Warren went with Bernie.

Someone who went with Joe right off the bat is Keisha Lance Bottoms.

Both make sense strategically. It would be perfect for Beto because otherwise he's hard pressed to win anything in that state that enables him to reach the level his talent warrants.

Our bench continues to be overrated in terms of national electability. Promoting Beto to vice president changes that instantly. Now we've got someone well known, young and viable in case Biden serves only one term.
