I admit it. I am SHOCKED at how well Biden is doing.

JMHO... but so far this is a very one-sided debate.

The 1-1 format actually fits Biden better than prior formats.

I also like NOT having an audience. I hope this can be adopted for future debates.

I have been very pleasantly surprised this evening!

I was not so much because I know Biden has decades of experience. It's not exactly the first debate of his career.

I didn't think he was going senile or anything, but in some of the earlier debates it seemed like he was a little rusty at being a candidate. For the most part I thought he did very well tonight. He seemed presidential and prepared to govern on day 1. I do agree with Van Jones that he needs to do a little better at defending his record, since Trump will hit him even harder than Bernie did.

Supporter from CNN commented on how well Joe did the last time. And sounds like he’s doing well tonight

...rather than buying into deceptively edited video clips from Republican, Russian, and Bernie Bro propagandists on social media.

Anyone that really bought into that """Biden has dementia!!1!""" narrative never watched one of his town halls. To those of us that actually have watched him speak in these sort of more intimate formats knew that Biden would perform well in a one-on-one debate.

being screwed if Biden gets the nomination. When I asked why he simply said, "he's got dementia".

I argued with him but he kept going back to he thinks he's running for senator. I missed that recording but am assuming it was one of those mistakes that all candidates make after being on the stage day after day and having held different positions in the past.

Then I watched his CNN townhall. In a focused environment he is 100% on and 100% sharp.

16. I didn't watch the debate yet because I was concerned Biden might have rough moments
Mon Mar 16, 2020, 12:42 AM

I'm not going to deny that. I taped the debate but have not watched it yet. It's great to read here that Biden did so well.

I'll watch it tomorrow. I also taped some of the post-debate analysis.

However, I am not fully rid of this concern. I always prize big picture above changing my mind because of a recent indication. Biden is going to be like a senior golfer who can put together 3 rounds like his old self, but not all 4 rounds. He will have wobbles like some of the earlier debates.

We just have to hope they don't come at the wrong time, or too pronounced.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
