I did all my food shopping for next week. No excuse to go out. I plan on doing cleaning out projects. I work these jobs where we clean out peoples homes when they move to assisted living. One lady lived in an apartment for 79 years, the dust and stuff I unearthed was astounding. Every time I do that job I plan on a cleaning out rooms in my own home. Next week hall closet and laundry room. If this continues on my house will be less cluttered. My husband says he likes me doing that job because I clear out own my home.

Don Draper proves to be a total cad over and over. Betty is a psycho. Peggy is interesting - has grown as a character. Sally is a good little actress. Most of the shows are interesting, and there is a different story line every time.

It's like peeling back an onion. Every time you watch it, you get deeper and deeper into these characters. And you understand them more and more.

I have a friend whose father was in the advertising business, during the same time that Mad Men takes place. She said Mad Men is the real deal.

Both of my parents were less than tolerant of whining from me and my siblings about stupid things. Their responses to such things were very effective. Even better for my mother, my boredom that day relieved her from doing laundry for the next four years, until I went off to college. Her lessons were self-perpetuating. We rarely whined about anything, I can tell you.

We relish the boredom. Since we both retired we have done so much for the state of boredom. My ex-work-a-Holic hubs says he finally found what he’s good at. Doin’ nothin’.

Of course, we sold everything and moved here. Paradise is a great place to be locked in together. He has 100 + Rubik’s cube.
Pot is legal, we have a pool. It’s 78degrees here. Sigh. Monkeys, lizards and toucans, oh my.
