Slowly but surely unallocated delegates have been assigned over the last few days - the latest being Americans Abroad.

A week ago there were about 80, it's now down to 20 that haven't been assigned (7 in MA, 13 in FL).

Here's the count and the number and % of remaining delegates needed to reach 1991:

Biden - 1214, 777, 46.3% of remaining to get to 1991
Sanders - 915, 1086, 64.1% of remaining to get to 1991

Other delegates:

Warren 75
Bloomberg 52
Buttigieg 36
Klobuchar 7
Gabbard 2

It should be noted that the last four, worth an aggregate of 97 delegates, have endorsed Biden.

In effect Mr. Biden has already about 1300, and needs only about 680 more, as candidates who have endorsed Mr. Biden will doubtless release their delegates to vote as they will once balloting begins.

There is no reason for Sanders to remain in the contest, no good reason anyway. Pressing his jihad against the 'Democratic Establishment' does seem the most likely reason he persists, on the record of his own utterances for years, and his actions four years ago. People who do not like hearing that need to face facts and bear up under them. If the man continues to press an attack against the 'Democratic Establishment' he is, viewed objectively, acting as a left auxiliary for Trump and the rest of the Republican crew of perverse shit-heels and moral monsters. He will get no thanks for his service to them, of course, and doubtless when his time comes would go to his grave convinced the nation's fall into Christo-fascism was deserved, as the people rejected the Truth and the Light and the Way of 'Bernie', who would have brought all good things to pass in an earthly Paradise, had only 'the people' followed their true desires and believed on him.

8. I'm not sure

that delegates who belong to a former candidate are free to vote for whoever they want. I read something the other day that gave me the impression some may be apportioned depending on how their states voted but I was a little confused and didn't want to make a doctor's thesis outta it.

Either way, it's pretty obvious where we're headed. More a matter of when than how or why.

Biden - 1217 Needs 774 to win. That's 46.2% of remaining 1,677 delegates remaining.
Sanders - 915 Needs 1,076 to win. That's 64.2% of remaining 1,677 delegates remaining.

Your point it correct. But it is even more stark than your numbers showed.

9. I used the Green Papers, and added in today's Democrats Abroad (5 and 8) The numbers changed....

....slightly over the last few days, too - Bloomberg lost a few delegates, some went to Biden and some went to Sanders.

But you're right about Sanders - for some stupid reason when I was moving numbers around I used 1901 instead of 1991. I was wondering why Sanders' % went from about 64% to only 58%, that's why!
