Biden's actual remarks at the UNO Global Leadership Council (not Twitter smears)

He comes on stage at 12:30 into the video. It's going to be hard to match Biden on his foreign relations experience. This is what I see people are interested in now -- stability and experience. He is in a red state basically attacking a GOP president and he is doing a great job. The context of his Pence comments relate to Pence saying, "I'm here on behalf of President Trump" and being met with stone silence.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

A little aside comment in a long statement about how Trump has destroyed the U.S.'s reputation in the world used to smear a Democrat. Typical.

TeamPooka. Democracy MUST have a stable cooperative majority reaching agreements that work at least somewhat for both sides.

We've lost that to the power groups on the right who have divided and are conquering our nation, and we really, really don't want what they will replace our democracy with if we don't unite with all those we can to stop them.

Unbelievable.

Biden was in a red state attacking a Republican president. That literally is the goal. Thanks to VP Biden for speaking out about the lack of presidential leadership right in the heart of Republican country. Thanks to Hagel for inviting a former Senate colleague — a Democrat — to attack a GOP president.

the Trump name in Pence's speech and the later Iranian policy silent reaction.

They and we know that Pence has never rebuked his boss for anything in the last two years

Pence is at best an obsequious Quisling.
At worse an active participant in these policies, like child separation at the border and anti-LGBT, and racist actions.

Pence was being rightfully shunned by world leaders.

If Joe doesn't understand that Pence is Trump's stooge then that makes this comment even worse

The fact that is was an aside, ad lib, and not written comment also makes it worse IMO.

Because if Joe really thinks Pence just "isn't that bad" or that "Pence is not an overt Trumpanzee" then he's out of touch with reality and should stay retired.

was discussing the failure of presidential leadership and the resultant decline in United States influence and leadership. It went way beyond Trump and Pence, but you are invested in separating a passing comment about Pence and elevating it way above anything else he was presenting because it serves some partisan purpose.

Actually, that is more the deflection than listening to the speech and understanding that Biden was also a Vice President as Pence and he viewed it from that perspective — the shock of seeing a US VP being treated that way. Have you listened to the speech?

He loved John McCain.

It didn't stop him vigorously opposing McCain when he was Barack Obama's running mate.

Biden is a decent, honorable man. Sometimes he looks for the best in people who don't deserve it, but, politically, he is one of our finest Democratic warriors and has been for many years.

He beats Trump precisely because of his inherent good nature, not in spite of it.
