Raven
Raven's JournalI'm really glad that everyone in the Lounge is so smart, but
I'm getting a little tired of all the posts about Wordle and Girdle and Smirdle and...I want the puppies and kitties and good people rescuing animals back!
I have a WWII ration card that I found in a drawer after my parents
passed away. Today, it is a reminder to me that we have yet to feel any real pain from Putin's war. I wonder if the American people are ready to make sacrifices...the same people who swooned at the thought of having to wear a mask or get a shot to protect their neighbors or their own family members. I think that the Republicans are betting that we won't be up to the challenge.
It's the BBC or nothing for me. I am done with the talking heads. I was up most of the night
last night as the Russian madman made his first moves and at 6 a.m. I tuned into Morning Joe to watch Mika read the news as if she understood it and Joe yell because that seems to be all Joe knows how to do. The kicker, however, was to listen to Willie Geist ( the cute former sports talking head, and Mike Barnacle, the Boston Globe columnist who resigned because of a couple of plagiarism "slip ups" talk about a war that they are totally unqualified to talk about.
The Russian madman has nukes and, being someone who grew up in the 50's who knows what it feels like to hear a siren and get under a desk, I won't watch these people make a joke of all of this.
Question...re: a cable TV show
Does anyone ever watch "Sister Wives" on TLC? If so, does anyone feel as I do that this Kody person is a huge, obnoxious, arrogant, authoritarian, ego-bloated rear end of a horse?
Thank you for the hearts. It was very thoughtful!
Got Zoom Bombed at a community meeting this week.
This was a meeting in my tiny town on renewable energy. There were about 20 people on this zoom meeting. We were twice bombed by two different naked men masturbating. The leader of the meeting was fairly quick to get rid of them, but not quick enough. I just wonder about the sick mentality of people who do these things.
We are having mud season in December here in New Hampshire.
It's going to be in the 50's this week. No snow and only a dusting so far this season. This is not normal at all.
I firmly believe that President Biden should have made the securing of voting rights and
fair elections the top priority on his agenda, even before the BBB Act and he and the Democrats in Congress should be moving to abolish or make exceptions to the filibuster to accomplish that. My reasoning is that as long as Republicans believe that they can rig elections, they will not care about doing the will of the people or cooperating with Democrats and, because of that, Biden may never accomplish his agenda.
I am seeing all of these posts today of animals being kind and it breaks my heart to
realize that they put some humans in this country to shame.
