Steve Bannon Suggests There Are Too Many Asian CEOs In Silicon Valley

Steve Bannon, the man President-elect Donald Trump has chosen to be his chief strategist, expressed dismay at the number of tech execs who are immigrants from Asia.

But Trump, who has pledged to build a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico to keep people out, has said he wants immigrants educated at Ivy League universities and therefore capable of success to stay.

Bannon is the executive chairman of Breitbart News, a site that regularly airs white nationalist viewpoints. He and his beliefs have come under scrutiny since America’s next president appointed him to the senior leadership role in the incoming administration on Sunday.

Trump was a guest on his Sirius XM “Breitbart News Daily” radio show when Bannon made the remarks on Nov. 5, 2015.

“People are coming in and they’re taking jobs and people are getting paid less money,” Trump said during the broadcast. “A lot of it has to do with borders.”

How Trump took hate groups mainstream

Mother Jones:

The first warning sign that something new was brewing came in June 2015, as Donald Trump joined the crowded field vying for the Republican presidential nomination. In the extravagant lobby of Trump Tower in New York City, he announced he would build a wall to keep out Mexican criminals and "rapists."

Snip:
Trump's move was a "game changer," said MacDonald, a 70-year-old silver-haired former academic who edits the Occidental Observer, which the Anti-Defamation League calls "online anti-Semitism's new voice." Trump, he wrote, "is saying what White Americans have been actually thinking for a very long time."

"Stunning," raved Peter Brimelow, editor of the anti-immigrant site VDare.com. "The thing that delighted us the most," he wrote, was Trump's plan to close "the 'Anchor Baby' loophole," denying citizenship to the American-born children of immigrants—a policy that Brimelow said he had been advocating for more than a decade.

Trump "may be the last hope for a president who would be good for white people," remarked Jared Taylor, who runs a white nationalist website called American Renaissance and once founded a think tank dedicated to "scientifically" proving white superiority.

Obama Regulators Want To Let Factory Farms Label Their Meat ‘Humanely Raised’

Are we in the 21 st century?

The proposed guidelines were recently posted by the Food Safety and Inspection Service, the federal agency that regulates how meat and poultry products must be labeled.

The new rules would permit meat producers to use terms like “Raised With Care” or “Humanely Raised on Sustainable Family Farms” simply by making up their own definitions for the terms. Each company’s definition of “humanely raised” would be entirely arbitrary, and regulators would perform no inspections to verify any of their animal-welfare claims.

Consumer advocates and animal protection groups said the proposed rules would amount to a federal seal of approval on a deeply flawed labeling system that misleads consumers and undermines farms that actually do provide better care to animals.

fbi-says-foreign-hackers-penetrated

The FBI has uncovered evidence that foreign hackers penetrated two state election databases in recent weeks, prompting the bureau to warn election officials across the country to take new steps to enhance the security of their computer systems, according to federal and state law enforcement officials.

The FBI warning, contained in a “flash” alert from the FBI’s Cyber Division, a copy of which was obtained by Yahoo News, comes amid heightened concerns among U.S. intelligence officials about the possibility of cyberintrusions, potentially by Russian state-sponsored hackers, aimed at disrupting the November elections.

Those concerns prompted Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson to convene a conference call with state election officials on Aug. 15, in which he offered his department’s help to make state voting systems more secure, including providing federal cybersecurity experts to scan for vulnerabilities,

8 Things to Do to Trump to help him lose money

This campaign season has made something abundantly clear: Donald Trump is a bigot. That isn’t too surprising, given the fact his father was a member of the Ku Klux Klan who was sued by the Justice Department for refusing to rent to black tenants. And up until now, there’s been no way for the public to check Trump’s bigotry in a way that will make him stop and rethink his words.

No number of bad headlines will stop Trump’s rhetoric, nor will it stop the alarming number of white supremacists coming out of the woodwork to support his campaign and emboldened to commit acts of hatred against the same groups he’s maligning.

The only way to stop Trump is by going after the one thing he values most: His money.

The Donald’s financial disclosure form, submitted after he declared his candidacy, shows him owning dozens of companies across the United States and the world that bear his name, and we’ve done the grunt work of narrowing down the exact businesses responsible for the Trump Organization’s money. Trump: 'You can get the baby out of here

Ashburn, Virginia (CNN)Donald Trump, trying to reassure a distressed mother with a crying baby, said Tuesday that he loves hearing babies cry at his rallies and told her not to worry -- only to change his mind just a moment later.

"I love babies. I hear that baby cry, I like it," Trump said at a campaign event here as a baby could be heard crying in the audience. "What a baby. What a beautiful baby. Don't worry, don't worry. The mom's running around, like, don't worry about it, you know. It's young and beautiful and healthy and that's what we want.
