"put on our positive pants" Gov. Kristi Noem (So. Dakota)

There is a risk associated with everything that we do in life; more South Dakotans have died from accidental injuries than from COVID-19 in the past 5 months. We mitigate risks by taking proper precautions when we get in our cars, when we operate farm equipment, and when we make choices about what we eat and how much we exercise. The same should be true about life as we get back to normal.

So let’s remember to “put our positive pants on.” We need to emphasize facts, not fear. Let’s tell the story of what works in the fight against this virus, and let’s continue to get through this together.

Trump had a cheering section at the press conference. No really he did.

About 90 seconds. In case you haven’t seen it. This is the most complete video of this that I’ve seen.

No FCS football playoffs until maybe spring. This is the step below the major programs.

FCS playoffs shelved for fall after conferences opt to wait until spring

The annual FCS playoffs will not be held this fall, even if some schools play a regular season.

The lower half of Division I college football has fallen short of the NCAA's recent mandate that playoffs would require 50% of eligible teams participate in a regular season,

Eight of the 13 FCS conferences aren't playing in the fall, with the CAA, Ivy, MEAC, Northeast, Patriot and SWAC having made announcements last month. The number of schools not playing is nearing 75 out of 127 programs, factoring in a few CAA schools considering independent schedules and Big South members Hampton and Monmouth opting out of playing even if their conference has a regular season.

The Big South, Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley, Southern and Southland conferences are still determining their direction. The Missouri Valley is home to North Dakota State, a winner of three straight FCS national titles -- and eight of the past nine.

Well, I'm in the hospital

Well, I'm in the hospital. 😩 This has not been a good day. After spending the last 3 months quarantined inside the house, limited contact with my family or friends since end of March ......enough is enough. So I decided to go for a horseback ride with a good friend. 😘 Something I haven't done for a long time. It turned out to be a horrible mistake! I got on the horse and I started out slowly, but then it got crazy windy. I went faster and faster and before I knew it, I was going as fast as that horse could go. I couldn't take the pace and fell off, but caught my pants on the stirrup. I was being dragged and was bouncing all over the place. The horse just would not stop!
Thankfully the manager at Dollar General came running out and unplugged the machine. Then he actually had the nerve to take the rest of my quarters and my bottle of Tequila, so I wouldn't try to ride the damn fire truck or clown car. 🙄
I have a few scrapes and bruises but nothing's broken. I will wear a helmet next time.

How many of you actually read what I wrote? If you did, copy and paste for someone else to get a laugh! We certainly need a little humor these days!!!

Our nation is in a free fall. But sure, let's talk about Hillary's emails again. Dana Milbank

But Cornyn was not to be disturbed from his time warp. He went on about Comey’s conduct, Loretta Lynch’s tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton, and Rod Rosenstein’s memo justifying Comey’s firing. “Director Comey was out of control,” the senator concluded.

In reality, Yates testified that President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden “did not in any way attempt to direct or influence any kind of investigation” and she repeatedly asserted that a genuine “counterintelligence threat,” not politics, was behind the Trump-Russia investigation.

Not that it mattered. “What I want to let the American people know,” Graham said after three hours of questioning Yates, “is I don’t buy for a minute that there were only two people at the FBI who knew the dossier was garbage.”

The nation, because of a worst-in-the-world pandemic response, is on the cusp of depression — and that’s what Graham wants Americans to know?

God help us.

Per CDC guidelines- hospital can send you home even if you test positive

The saga continues. As many of you know we have someone we know who has the virus.
We received word today that since they no longer show any symptoms and even though they still test positive they can return home.
They can not be tested for 30 days. That, we are told, includes if they wanted to go to a drugstore and get tested by themselves. Apparently the drugstore would check their insurance and see a hold on testing.

I’m not posting this to complain. We’ve checked with people we know who are actively working on the virus and they agreed. The tests may only be positive due to results in the molecular level.

The person we know will return to their living arrangement on Friday.

I think it’s in here somewhere
