GREAT post! And sometimes, I tellya, I just find myself beyond caring about whether we piss these people off by pointing out their sheer, willful IGNORANCE. I mean, how long do we have to coddle these people who insist on voting against their best interests? Because they believe that if they just keep believing, one day that trickle-down will indeed, finally, actually trickle down on them and they'll be as rich as wrongney! Like magic! Just KEEP BELIEVING IN THE GOP!

I know. I know. Not nice. And all that. And yeah, there's truth in that scolding. But being nice, being patient, being helpful, being instructive, being kind, all that good stuff - doesn't help.

We had a dry drunk "in charge" last time. From a party of "political dry drunks" who believe that the federal government's just simply bad and that the answer is to privatize everything or kick it all back to the states (YEAH, SURE! Like the states could afford the clean-up of a disaster like this, especially one that crosses state lines - ie: THAT'S WHERE AND WHY YOU NEED THE FEDS).
Now, we truly have the adults in charge. In the last decade, adult-size two-year-olds were "running" things (into the ground).
Don't get complacent, anybody! We don't have this thing locked in yet.
Gonna be battling the bad guys all the way to the bitter end.

My sincere apologies, but when I see clips on the news of either of your senators, I find myself seriously wondering what the hell is wrong with Oklahoma voters. I mean - james inhofe? Seriously? Your state wants THIS certified Neanderthal ding-dong representing you in the Senate, who never saw a pollutant he wanted to regulate or protect the population from? tom coburn? Really???? This Christianist zealot Cro-Magnon weasel who helped run that religious house of horror in Georgetown where john ensign took aid and comfort while he was screwing his friend's wife? And Oklahoma voters are truly okay with this? WTF??? I do NOT get it.
I keep reminding myself that Oklahomans are truly wonderful and noble people and they are my countrymen and women and they love their country just as I do. For Heaven's sake, the Oklahoma license plate is one of the loveliest of them all. But SHEESH!!! When I see what they repeatedly want to send to Washington ON THEIR BEHALF, I just can't make sense of it.

It's really a disgrace the way he's been treated and disrespected. If it was a republi-CON getting that kind of abuse and disrespect the GOP and Pox Noise would be apoplectic, round-the-clock. On September 11th, 2001, we all banded together, Democrats with republi-CONS, and got behind the so-called president we had then, BECAUSE IT WAS SIMPLY THE CORRECT AND PATRIOTIC AND HONORABLE THING TO DO!!!!! But I strenuously disagree with their assertion that they can't be held responsible for a few crazies. They're FULL OF SHIT if they really believe that. It's THEY who absolutely SHOULD take responsibility for those crazies, and outshout them, out-fight them, and DRIVE THEM OUT OF WHAT USED TO BE A SEMI-RESPECTABLE NATIONAL PARTY. DRIVE THEM OUT!!! Hey, WE can't do it from over here on the other side of the aisle. It's up to these moderate "republi-CONS" to take back their own party and drive the vermin OUT! THEY'RE the ones who have to do something about their birthers, baggers, poor-haters, science-deniers, woman-haters, racists, rapist-apologists, and money-worshippers. THEY'RE the ones who have to clean house. You'd think, or at least you'd hope, that these people would do so for no other reason than simple vanity and self-preservation. Because the assholes make these folks look bad. The whole GOP brand is trashed. They might want to start over, start a new party, and begin to rebuild that way. Leave the knuckle-draggers relegated to a regional party.
Oh - and if I may, might I submit that it's "Democratic Governor Cuomo." NOT "Democrat Governor Cuomo." If you use that truncated term, you may be labeling yourself...
