calimary
calimary's JournalI do know one thing: they can stick their lazy-ass empty "thoughts and prayers" rhetoric
where the sun don't shine.
The statement "thoughts and prayers" has become nothing but a shitty excuse to do nothing.
To these NRA-embracing cowards I would say: I don't want your "thoughts and prayers". I want you to DO SOMETHING about this, DAMMIT! They're nothing but wholly-owned subsidiaries. REAL guts is telling the NRA you can't be bought with their blood money.
Welcome to DU, Collimator.
Every word.
I was thinking earlier today that - for all the assholes who mewl about how "guns don't kill people" or the "what-about'ers" who go directly to "but but but ... cars!" or "but but but ... knives!" - it's very likely easier to survive an assault by car or by knife. Or axe. Or baseball bat. Or fist. Or fill-in-the-blank-here. I suspect you're statistically more likely to survive an attack by any of the above mentioned implements. You are statistically no match for a gun. Particularly a really awful extreme instrument like the AK47.
Fortunately, there is some shaming now going on, and there should be a LOT more. I suggest anybody with a Twitter account spread this info from Bess Kalb, a TV comedy writer for Jimmy Kimmel's show. Name their names. Shine a bright light. Expose these fiends who are bought and paid for by the NRA.

And for the unfortunate constituents of these opportunistic infections on Capitol Hill, I hope you don't keep them employed this November if they come asking for your vote. HINT on how to avoid making a mistake: Just find the D on the ballot and make your mark there. These lice are ALL republi-CONS. So vote Dem.
I have a REALLY hard time believing that nobody reimbursed him. Either directly OR indirectly.
Nobody just hands out 130-grand like that, out of the goodness of his heart, to buy someone's silence, and then leaves it at that. Especially if it was somebody else's transgression and not his own.
You know that old saying - "follow the money."
Hey can I get in on that?
Welcome to DU, Dr_Pretorius!
Yeah, no kidding. Color me surprised... NOT!
I love these lovely GOPers - they're the first to push their version of "morality" on everyone else, and set themselves up as examples the rest of us are to admire, respect, emulate, and of course vote for, if they run for something. They sure do set an example, alright. Of what NOT to do, and how NOT to be or behave.
Such splendor in those photos.
Nice-Nice-NICE.
Thank you for posting these, Gabi Hayes!
There's the guy who sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for power.
And he stands firmly with the individual who makes me think of the Antichrist.
They're not doing Thing One about it because they know they're gonna need that same help again to stay in power. They're ALL guilty of high treason, in my opinion. High Treason, obstruction of justice, and collaborating with the enemy.
Personally, I wouldn't ever give you a hard timer saying that.
I couldn't agree more. I've even said to, myself.
And I think you're spot-on about reminding people of the folly of voting for him because, for one weasely stupid lame-ass reason or another they just somehow couldn't vote for Hillary.
VOTE, DAMMIT! And while you're at it, make damn sure you VOTE DEM, DAMMIT.
Welcome to DU, Insomniac Ike!
Every time I refer to him as a weasel, I feel like I need to apologize to the four-legged kind.
Welcome to DU, Morris64!
Well, fortunately, these are quite remarkable.
I am a bit surprised that it would be President Obama depicted with all the leafy foliage behind him - when it's First Lady Michelle who made gardening one of her hallmarks. I'm a little surprised that she wasn't pictured in a garden setting also. But whatever. She's the most glamorous First Lady we've had since Jackie Kennedy. The gown is fabulous, and shows off those famous, beautifully sculpted upper arms of hers - another of her hallmarks!
