I was, however, going to start worrying about all the divers who might be motivated to crowd into those waters, disturbing the habitat.
BUT, perhaps this will allow them to stay home and do it from their own easy chairs?
Welcome to DU, egold2604!
Glad you're here! I think the whole "Law of Unintended Consequences" thing was left out of their "textbooks," once upon a time... Not sure they've demonstrated any behavior that suggests they think long-term, about ANY consequences of their actions.
Oh Heavens, of course! Silly me! What was I thinking?
It's all those black welfare queens just ruining everything for the rest of us! The gospel truth, of course!!!!! I must have been having a brain fart or something...
Did you see Andy Borowitz's take on this? ROFL!!!!!
Actually, it's one of those things where you could realistically say "gee, that'd be funny if it weren't true..."
Enjoy!

That, and the numbers that were going against her.
She barely got back in, last time. In a purportedly ferociously-red district that should have been another cakewalk for her. And she barely got back in. The numbers were starting to go against her, and she's probably increasingly viewed back home as damaged goods - that will hurt their precious party. I think the last numbers I saw, if memory serves, that she was actually falling slightly behind the probable Democratic opponent. And then add in this scandal that was brewing under her feet.
She probably decided it'd be better to get outta Dodge and find her way to some lucrative contract with Pox Noise. Or maybe jim demint called with an offer of safe haven at the Heritage Foundation?
Seems like they're working toward it already...
First, it'll be blacks that are reclassified as property. Then, it'll be ALL women - not just the black ones. After all, the word "uppity" tends to apply there, too. That jerk from Oklahoma recently said as much (without using the actual word) about how disturbingly "forceful" Hillary Clinton was.
Interesting Trotsky reference.
I hadn't heard that before. Seems to make total sense though.
Especially considering that what the other side seems to want IS barbarism. The kind of dream society they advocate: no government-regulations-laws-rules; every man for himself; all the free, unfettered, wanton access to guns & ammo you can eat; let the rich run amok; millions of fuck'-em-who-gives-a-shit = the poor, disadvantaged, homeless, hungry, sick, uninsured; a few ultra-rich pirates and warlords controlling everything (the infamous 1%); in other words, TOTAL ANARCHY, sounds a bit like barbarism to me. Sounds like what they really want this country to become is the Disjointed States of Somalia.
Franky, my dear, I'd rather be a socialist. 'Cause I CANNOT go for that barbaric fantasy.
The funny thing is - they on that side really can't go for that, either - IF they REALLY-And-TRULY consider themselves followers of Christ. But they do anyway. Wonder who it is they think they're worshipping, then?
And he didn't completely ruin his marriage, either, leaving divorce and a large broken home behind.
I think if frickin' mark sanford is allowed a second act, then CERTAINLY Anthony Weiner deserves one as well.
Not enough people start to see what these assholes *REALLY* stand for.
Not nearly enough! I hope the Great Awakening continues, and accellerates. 'Cause there are still FAR too many gullible and ill-informed people (some of them proudly and willfully ill-informed!) who still vote for these assholes.
He's just wonderful! I LOVE George Takei! For many many reasons.
Most of them are the many many times I laugh, hard, because of something I saw on his Facebook page. Just HILARIOUS stuff. And his attitude toward life, and himself, and his sense of humor. Plus a LOT of great "Star Trek"-related jokes! And sometimes he speaks about pain and suffering, personally, sincerely, and so eloquently.
