Oh boo-hoo.

Why did you get involved, dearie? You could have tweeted him to stop or deleted his posts. If you played along, don't expect any sympathy. Obviously you thought there was something in it for you. You didn't realize he was married? Or didn't you care?

I love this story. Or parable, if you will.

And I WISH there were a pastor like that, who taught that lesson, in church one fine day.

If this story is indeed not true, then that's a shame. Because it should be true, and it should be illustrated in EVERY church in this country.

Kicking!

The details in your thread, below, are fascinating!

Welcome to DU, Dagny_K!

Glad you're here! I saw your original post and I'm glad you turned it into a separate thread! Great digging you did here! Sorry the professional news media and so-called "investigative reporters" couldn't be bothered to do such things.

Seems to me your conclusions are reasonable considering the evidence. But then again, I myself thought a second-degree murder verdict was reasonable considering the evidence, too. Sure looked that way to me, from everything I saw and read and listened to and studied. This just smells really bad. Really fishy. It just doesn't add up. Any more than Zimbo's mood-ring story did, with how many times he kept changing it.

If their wording isn't, their objectives are.

And they need to be taken seriously and responded to.

This is why we ALWAYS have to remain vigilant. There were stories awhile back that ALEC disbanded. Don't believe it for a moment. Maybe the NAME of the organization was done away with. Just as there's no more "Blackwater." But there IS INDEED something called "Xe" and probably other clones that have metastasized from it, and their work goes on, and their contracts continue, and their objectives remain intact and enforced. But they changed their name and their mast-head and that's lulled some on our side to think that we beat 'em, they're gone, not coming back, done, we won! AND WE DIDN'T!!! They're STILL HERE. STILL UP TO NO GOOD. Only they have better cover now because they changed their name and enough people figured that was that.

So how do we head this off?

Needs to be out-maneuvered, out-strategized, exposed, and contained.

Perhaps this is what arose from when ALEC "disbanded"?

They're NOT gonna give up, concede defeat, have a change of heart, or go away. So we have to remain vigilant!

One question to keep in mind with folks like these: when you spray for cockroaches - do they ever really go away? Or do they find other ways to come back in?

Some good points here.

It helps to study the human psyche and understand who and what people are, what motivates them, and what agenda they might have. Sometimes it helps to shed light on the "why" when you connect the dots on the "who" and the "what."

Attempted perception management.

Obviously he's either still on the case voluntarily because he sees a need to keep defending his precious Georgie, or somebody else does and is bankrolling him (or maybe it's somebodies) to retain his services because they fear "the job isn't finished." O'Mara is obviously trying to seal the deal in the public perception. Perhaps he anticipates another trial, a civil action or something, and he's trying to stack the deck in advance - any way he can to influence the public perception of his seriously damaged and compromised client, and somehow try to turn him into some Captain America type.

One way or another he appears to have concluded that this isn't over, and his services are still needed, and he still has work to do to rehabilitate his client in the public eye. Why? Because the reaction from coast-to-coast has NOT been favorable, and a large swath of the public watching the trial was not swayed by his fancy arguments and cardboard cutouts and histrionics with a slab of concrete and a bunch of hardly-unbiased witnesses who waxed nearly poetic about dear sweet innocent "Georgie." Maybe muddying the waters of a second potential jury pool - so it can then be claimed that poor dear sweet innocent "Georgie" can't get a fair trial and, well, there's just no reason to proceed...

Only problem with that, it would seem, is that the trial of public opinion will then be the last word. The hatred of this monster, across the country, and the knowledge MANY of us are left with - STANDS: that he got away with killing an unarmed kid after stalking him and picking a fight with him, having prejudged and racially profiled him in his own cock-eyed paranoid racist mind (note that he never said anything like "these fucking crackers, they always get away&quot and anointed himself judge/jury/executioner, taking the law into his own hands. And with no badge and no formal deputizing from any legitimate law enforcement organization. There are many of us, myself included, who don't give a rat's ass whether "Georgie" single-handedly saves the whole world and personally finds a cure for cancer and a solution to the national deficit in the next year-and-a-half. He still was allowed to get away with a rather cold-blooded MURDER.

That is a GREAT way to sum up this mess.

EXCELLENT post. And you're correct, CakeGrrl. That blood won't every come off his little hands. They'll never be sweetened again. No matter how much he tries to launder them.

July 25, 2013

It's hard to understand why people keep voting for him.

WHY is this know-nothing allowed to hold public office? He's an insult to everyone else's intelligence. And he doesn't make his constituents (who insist on forcing him on the rest of us every other year for far too long already) look very good, very bright, or very nice.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
