FUCKING GODDAMN BASTARD!

IDIOT! You don't want to cause panic? You do that by LEVELING with people. Telling them the truth. Telling them WHAT we're facing and HOW we're gonna handle it and eventually get the upper hand.

And this jerk doesn't even know how to tell the truth by now.

Indirectly, in the case of the AP.

The Associated Press is a cooperative. It's not a corporation as we've come to know them. It's owned by its members. There's a governing board comprised of representatives from the member stations and newspapers.

At least when I worked at the AP that was the structure.

There's a separate union structure, too - when I was still working there, we were all members of what was called the Wire Service Guild. Totally separate from the unions that governed the conventional broadcast/cable networks and stations - (AFTRA - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, which eventually became SAG/AFTRA when it merged with the Screen Actors Guild). Sometime after I left they changed it from the Wire Service Guild to the Media Guild, as the internet expanded and soon came to redefine a whole lot in the media world.

That, of course, doesn't obscure the fact that those station managers and owners may very well be republi-CONS, so they will be a factor. But they don't own the AP.

Yep. That's true, too.

Short-term gain is all they care about. These jerks never look down the road any farther than their next election.

Disagree with Mrs. Krassenstein on one point.

It isn’t “kinda sad”.

It’s downright gleeful!

But I won’t be celebrating until/unless it’s safe to do so.

Oh yeah. She's BIG on her pensions.

An actress. As is typical for actresses over “a certain age”, there are few roles, and of those, the big names get them, and casting usually only takes a chance on someone who’s young and considered “hot” in one way or other. My friend is unfortunately one of those older actresses who “can’t get arrested” in Hollywood.

I think her main objection has to do with the abortion issue, which is big for her. She doesn’t see the “get the government OUT of my gyno’s office and OUT of my body!” argument. At the same time she’s also, somehow, on the “hate big government” bandwagon. Go figure.

Long ago, she actually “had to” get married (if you know what I mean...). Her lover was a younger man who HATED having to be “tied

I suppose that side rationalizes that it’s really not “big” government intruding into a woman’s privacy and the most personal and intimate regions of HER body. Maybe in that one situation, they imagine a government about the size of a dildo or something...

The hypocrisy is strong in that one, Luke.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
