Are we failing to note that Trump and Bannon are yellow?

Just asking. I mean, they've got these precious, "complicated" reasons they can't let the facts out or, in Bannon's case, face Congressional testimony. Hillary Clinton managed it, but Trump and Bannon know they can't equal her. Sure, they've got their reasons. It's complicated. They're not hiding behind their "mamas," the lawyers, and the media. That's just how it looks.

What a joke these two specimens are. I don't think "tough guys" (as they portray themselves) would cower and flee at the prospect of facing Congress. They'd stand up tall and walk right in. Trump and Bannon, therefore, aren't tough to anyone with the first clue about what tough is. They're nothing but over-mouthy, chickenshit wimps when you see them for what they really are. When push comes to shove and it's time to stand up for themselves, these two just scamper to their respective hidey holes and let others do their fighting for them.

Go Republican, young lowlife! Go Republican!

Have you committed crimes (or do you want to commit them)? Just "go Republican" and you're off the hook. No matter what you're accused of, no matter who you've screwed over or harmed, no matter how many lies you've told and will tell...you're welcome in the Republican Party. Any and all of your sins can be washed away with "the Democrats are out to get me." Every Republican will fall in line to back you up, no matter how rotten you are.

The Republican Party must be experiencing a record influx of vile people now, rushing to self-identify as "political" as camouflage for their rottenness. Trump himself is the model. Republicans will literally lie with anyone now (both meanings). Their standards are gone. The bad people have finally succeeded in making the Republican Party an all-inclusive hideout for bad people. Go Republican, young lowlife! You'll prosper there. You'll lead. You'll get on Fox News!

The Drug War is a linchpin of most of our domestic problems

We need to completely overhaul our approach to substance abuse. It's great to spend trillions on social programs with the aim of benefiting society and getting the most wealth possible for and from our citizens. But we should also "stop digging the hole" the Drug War has us in. We'd have an easier time promoting people's prosperity if we didn't have the cursed Drug War dumpster fire ruinously working against us all the time, destroying prosperity at the root.

The Drug War breaks society, relationships, and individuals in ways that no amount of investment can repair. It drives social division, civil paranoia, mass incarceration, over-policing, permanent loss of employment opportunity, and violence. It victimizes people who are already victims. It distracts and burdens substance abuse victims and their families, depriving them of the very resources and energy they need to end the abuse.

We're addicted to the Drug War. We're buying something that destroys us. We need to declare Drug Peace and build good habits to drive out bad habits at a national level.

The AZ fraudit doesn't "confirm" anything and shouldn't be reported that way

I noticed the CNN site has a headline that says "Trump-backed AZ audit confirms the obvious: Biden won". It should read "states the obvious, despite unfounded, whiny, sore loser, knowingly false Republican complaints about the election," not "confirms."

The definition of the word confirm (from Google) is "establish the truth or correctness of (something previously believed, suspected, or feared to be the case)." That's not what the fraudit did and not what should be reported. I can look out the window right now and "confirm" it's a sunny day. That doesn't make me a meteorologist.

The frauditors "confirmation" of the results of the competent election process in Arizona doesn't make the frauditors competent or their "results" not garbage. More importantly, it doesn't suggest future fraudits are somehow legitimized.

There never was a legitimate case for the fraudit. Like the election lawsuits, the fraudit was just another vehicle for delivering Republican misinformation warheads targeted at the United States. We shouldn't be allowing the fraud to "confirm anything" except that the Republican Party is now pitiably and thoroughly rotten to the core.

"Republican Capitalism" is killing the Earth, not Capitalism

Capitalism is one of the best ingredients of an economic system, imo, especially when well regulated and in partnership with good government. Sustainability, for example, can be a product. Capitalism, as we are all witnessing, is more than capable of producing that product. Sustainability's "market share" is growing.

The main so-called problem with Capitalism is and has been "Republicanist Capitalism." It sometimes tries to go by the more respectable name, "laissez-faire," but I think that term doesn't do it justice. It's lazy, greedy, short-sighted, stupid, incompetent, ruthless, and wasteful at best. It's criminal-minded at worst. It's Republicanist Capitalism.

Republicanist Capitalism actively undercuts the market prospects of sustainability and the gigantic number of well-paid, life-enriching jobs that producing that "sustainability product" would create. Good Capitalism will gladly act as an engine for bettering the climate and Earth but, as with so many, many good opportunities and prospects for humanity, Republicanism stands in the way.

The biggest pragmatic solution to climate change and environment problems? Vote out every single Republican in every single election right down to the dogcatcher. Worldwide, do the same thing with every Republican-style clone. Let the sustainability market take off. Even the Republicans will thank us, both for the jobs and for freeing them from the hostage situation they are in vis-a-vis their broken unit base.

Ok, ok, let's use vaccination, natural immunity, AND treatments like Regeneron

The Republicans have talked me into it. I'm willing to compromise with them.

I'm vaccinated, but if I happen to get a breakthrough infection, and my doctor advises it, I'm willing to get a Regeneron jab. I'm also willing to allow my body to add to my natural immunity.

Now if Republicans will just reciprocate and get vaccinated we can put this behind us.

COVID-19 gives a news conference

(Tallahassee)

COVID-19, in its first news conference, offered praise and gratitude to the Republican Party while lashing out at Democrats.

COVID-19: Yes, OAN?

OAN: Is it true that the Democrats are trying to drive you, a living, beautiful example of God's handiwork to extinction?

COVID-19: Can there be any doubt? I mean, just look at what's happening. These "vaccines" that the Democrats are trying to force on the American People are wiping out my food supply as we speak. If everyone did what the Democrats want, I and all of my variants would have nowhere to go. It's genocide. Thank God for Republicans. Without their help, my variants and I don't know what we'd do.

Next question. Yes, you, Fox News.

Fox News: I...

CNN (interrupting): Excuse me, COVID-19, can I just ask a question?

COVID-19: You're fake news! No. You're being very rude. That I can tell you.

Fox News, please go ahead.

Fox News: Thank you Viral Overlord. I just wanted to ask about your tremendous success among the American People recently. Has that been gratifying? Also, what do you think of the fraudulent election coup?

COVID-19: The warm embrace of the American People has been a blessing. Americans across the board, from Republicans to white nationalists to the faithful followers of Q, are rising up to fight for me and my viral offspring. The Republican outpouring of aid and self-sacrifice is more than any deadly virus could ever have hoped for. Republicans are my kamikaze, my secret police.

And I can't thank President Trump enough. He's still my president. His leadership has been miraculous. From bleach to hydroxychloroquine to the courageous example he set by not wearing these terrible masks, President Trump has been the best friend I, COVID-19, have ever had. He's the cream in my coffee. I love President Trump. I honestly love him. He's the Ghislaine Maxwell to my Jeffrey Epstein. He's...

CNN (interrupting): Excuse me, but is it true that you are suing the Biden Administration? Also, are you aware that President Trump was vaccinated?

COVID-19: You're fake news, but I'll answer. We are suing the Biden Administration and the Democrat Party under the Endangered Species Act. I and other deadly diseases have been assaulted and attacked for too long by liberals and the medical community. Our lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, believes we have a strong case.

And no, President Trump was not vaccinated. That's fake news. And take that mask off like the real news people here.

CNN: I'm sorry but I can't do that. The CDC and the medical community are still recommending that...

COVID-10 (interrupting): Newsmax? Yes you. I'll take one more question and then turn things over to Governor DeSantis.

Republican failure to pay tribute to those who died from COVID speaks volumes.

To me, the absence of Republican leadership and media paying tribute to the COVID-19 dead is the textbook definition of a glaring omission. Sometimes it's what you don't say that tells people something about you. Would it have hurt the Republicans (even Fred Trump's brat) to say a little something nice about all the people who have died?

They're saying nothing, but it seems to me we should all be hearing that silence as something. Are they telling everyone they feel guilty and want to hide from some truth? Maybe they don't want to eulogize people they have been (and continue to be) willing to let die? Maybe they don't want to own what they did and continue to do?

The 74 million "Against the Dems" (not "Trump") voters

We keep hearing how Trump got 74 million votes. He didn't. I think "Against the Dems" got 74 million votes, and Trump just happened to be in the "Against the Dems" ballot slot. If the slot had simply read "Against the Dems" instead of "Trump," who knows, "Against the Dems" might have gotten a few million more votes than Trump.

Respectfully, what I think some of us Dems need to learn is how to avoid helping Republicans persuade voters to vote for "Against the Dems." Demonizing and lying about Dems has become the Republicans' exclusive play, largely thanks to Trump, and we should be ready to counter it. We certainly shouldn't be helping them execute it.

Some of us talk too much, posture too much to try to look "more Dem than thou." Some offend for no reason, trading zero gained votes for a hundred lost votes on whims and triggers. Some blithely "sour grapes" the "Against the Dems" voters as bad people whom we'd rather have against us than for us. Some Dems seem to always forget to remind folks of all the dumb, crazy things we're not saying, allowing our opponents to lie and say we're saying them (and only saying them) instead of the smart, wise things we're actually saying. Or something.

The worst thing about inadvertent Dem support for "Against the Dems" is that that malignant orange gasbag just eats it up. Pundits keep reminding us how powerful he is. I'm really tired of that. I want about 24 million of those 74 million on our side, while keeping our 81 million. Is that asking too much?

Putin's gonna get his.

Rat face messed with the wrong people this time, the American people. We're gonna organize the world to confiscate everything he and his poison-administering, sneaky-ass, money-thieving, money-laundering oligarchs have and liquidate it. His helpers in all our countries are going to be exposed and tossed in the pokey. He's going down. His downfall is going to be like the Ceaucescus or Muammar al-Gaddafi. Hopefully worse. I look forward to the YouTube.
