A Mr. Pena, who was just arrested in New Mexico for shooting up the homes and offices of six Democrats in the last month, was selected as a Republican candidate for the legislature despite SEVENTEEN PRIOR FELONY CONVICTIONS!

A Mr. "Santos"---if that's his real name---was put forward as the Republican Congressional candidate despite leaders being aware that virtually his entire resume---and much more---was a pack of transparent STUPID lies!

But, then, I guess I answer that question by reminding everyone that you moral pygmies chose, supported and STILL support the disgusting lying criminal you worship as "Mister Trump".

flickers of shame have been extinguished in the Republican "party" ( such as it is ).

The GOP had tried to conceal what, historically, had been a seriously debilitating condition even though their affliction had been apparent for decades. Thanks to a series of band-aids, a negligent---or worse---media and a large segment of the electorate which chose to be ignorant, the Republicans hobbled along, denied they had any problem and, through gerrymandering, voter suppression, intimidation and billions of dollars in dark money, they won more elections even when they won less votes. They didn't pay attention to it very often, but their weakened sense of shame survived.

But, while there were several nearly fatal occurrences in nearly every election cycle, many believe that it may have been the Tea Party virus (Mendassit-E ) that was the contagion to which the "Grand Old Party" has now succumbed. Though they rallied somewhat after their "Gingrichectomy", successive waves of pustulent politics---the Trump election; the McConnell SCOTUS theft, Kavanaugh, MJT, yadda yadda yada---- have finally pounded a stake through the heart---no, the CONSCIENCE---of the Trumpublican cult.

Those wishing to view evidence of the demise of the MAGA party's shame may watch their conduct at the February 7th State of the Union address and their remarks afterward.

Lately, the only thing I'm sure of is that I'm not certain ---- or maybe not. nt

I once had an acquaintance who earned licenses to practice both medicine and law. I was extremely

impressed. But, lately, being competent in two demanding fields must not be a big deal.

There are literally tens of thousands online who are experts in Constitutional law, gynecology, meteorology, psychiatry, economics, American government,------ well, the list just goes on and on.

That acquaintance of mine must feel like such a fool. He spent years and years of work and study just to get the knowledge and expertise that folks with a GED can now obtain by spending a few hours on the net

---when we assumed Barr would be a "conservative but honest" AG;

---when we assumed that, after personally witnessing the actions of the J6 insurrectionist mob, Republicans would surely all vote to confirm Biden's election victory.

Hopefully, we who have "ASSUMED" that Trump will eventually be convicted of his crimes will not be made "ASSES".

RANT! I am close to "twisting off". Most of you haven't got a clue what it is like to be an

unapologetic liberal Democrat in a very bright RED area.

When we go shopping or to a doctor visit or just out for a stroll, we have to keep in mind that about 4 out of every 5 adults we encounter are Tea Party MAGA Trumpies. We get flipped off, cursed at, coal-rolled and physically threatened---I'll just say "often".

Despite this, our vehicles have Democratic and anti-Trump bumperstickers and I often wear anti-Trump tees as weather permits. And, I can just imagine how many who just read this saying "Well, of course you get harrassed and threatened! YOU'RE ASKING FOR IT!"

Seriously? It's MY fault? I shouldn't DARE disagree with the snarling majority?

No, shame on them for acting like nazis and shame on you for admonishing me to shut up and keep my head down!

What brought this post on? Several more extra large servings of fascist pronouncements by local elected "officials".
