Atticus
Atticus's JournalWalter Reed directors: "Everything Trump touches dies". Treat him the way you would
any other psychotic patient. Strap him into his bed if necessary.
TELL US THE TRUTH!
I find it absolutely disgusting that there are STILL paid commentators who insult us
by voicing their hope that Trump will suddenly "pivot" and "act presidential".
24 hour news and the need to fill air time often create absurdities.
As I watched Trump's "surprise visit to supporters", these lyrics came to mind:
"But where are the clowns
Send in the clowns
Don't bother, they're here"
(Sorry, Judy.)
Let me assure you that Trump's work output has not decreased one bit since he's been hospitalized.
Think about that.
For Trump supporters in Congress---(I will try to use small words):
I just read that some of you are now griping about how you will pay the price for the "stupid" way the "China virus" was handled.
Is this supposed to somehow persuade the public that you have just discovered this stupidity?
Are we to believe that when hundreds then thousands then tens of thousands now 210,000 Americans had died, you continued to genuinely think this plague was a "hoax"?
Is it possible that you just recently found out that masks really are strongly recommended by virtually every medical and scientific authority who is not a bought-and-paid-for Trump whore?
Please---can your whining victim schtick. Most of the public qualify as sentient.
As many begin to openly doubt the White House statements about how "great" Trump is doing
and then move on to speculate that he must in fact be very ill and likely to be incapacitated at the least, I am compelled to say "Be very careful".
IF Trump is in fact doing well and is encouraging us to keep making more and more dire predictions about whether he will ever be able to return to the White House and in, say, a week or so he walks out of the hospital, holds a press conference criticizing those who said he was at death's door and rides "the Beast" back to the White House, we will have lots of egg on our faces and possibly even provide material for a "lying Democrats" campaign ad.
Remember how damaging Karl Rove's set-up in the George W. Bush/ Texas Air National Guard fiasco was.
Let this play out. Investigate but don't speculate. Things can drastically change in the next 48 to 72 hours
"Commodus is not a moral man. You have known that since you were young. Commodus cannot rule.
He must not rule."----Richard Harris as Marcus Aurelius in "Gladiator"
For some reason, that line keeps popping into my mind recently.
I understand the various expressions of "best wishes" for Trump's full recovery but, let's
keep this in mind: in his assessment, those who are "nice" to their opponents, those who hesitate to take advantage of an adversary's misfortune, are "suckers". He will accept all of the slack and sympathy we choose to offer, but he will never reciprocate.
He has recently become infected with Corona virus, but that does not change his status as a sociopath.
Sometimes, karma's a bleach! nt
