To state what I believe to be "pellucidly clear", the attempt by Archives and DOJ to retrieve stolen

documents from Trump has featured a continuing series of obstructions of justice by him and his disciples. How many times has he "fully cooperated " before he again moved and concealed MORE wrongfully possessed documents, classified and otherwise? Now, the WSJ is reporting that he sometimes took classified documents with him on trips away from MAL.

Is it not obvious that the only way to stop this continuing criminal---possibly traitorous---conduct is to park Trump's oleaginous backside in a cell?

To coin a phrase---"LOCK HIM UP!"

Look again, Mr. Walker. Are you sure the card that came with your "badge" doesn't say

you are recognized as an "Honorary ORIFICE", NOT "Honorary Officer"?

Big words can be tricky.

Do you think it likely, as I do, that decent educated people around the world are just

totally flummoxed by the fact that Donald Trump is not only not in prison but may again be nominated by "his" party to run for POTUS?

Do you think some of their assessments of our international reliability might begin with "If they don't even have the courage to punish HIM---"?

Lest we think that no one who watched much of yesterday's J6 hearing could possibly

continue to support Trump or his minions, we must remember that AFTER personally witnessing all that traitorous violence and ignorance, 147 Republicans voted to overturn the election!

Mobs have no conscience or sense of shame and that is quite obviously what the "Republican Party" now is: a MOB.

Another "cognitive test" for tfg---

Five new words for you to remember: "Indictment, felony, prosecution, conviction, alone".

Take all the time you need.

America, did you see what I saw in the 7 minute video of Pelosi, Hoyer and Schumer and what they

said and did AS THE INSURRECTIONISTS INVADED THE CAPITOL SCREAMING THREATS TO KILL THEM?

Those were LEADERS, people!

Discussing options to get help and to continue their governmental function ASAP; calling mayors, governors, AGs, National Guard sources and discussing resumption of function with Vice-President Pence.

All while Trump did NOTHING but watch the violence on TV.

LEADERS, folks; those were leaders.

Why don't we just use our common sense; our "gut"; our intuition; our

"bullshit detectors"?

In reality, there are no Republicans who "really believe" that the 2020 election was stolen and Trump "won in a landslide". It would be terrible if we as a nation had actually managed to produce citizens THAT stupid, but that is not the case; it's even worse.

Millions of Republicans who absolutely know better are simply too cowardly to step out of line and admit that Trump lost "bigly". And, so, they lie.

Through their teeth, out of the corner of their mouth, in writing, on the air, at a shout or a whisper---they lie. Every damned one of them.

I guess the good news that they're not THAT stupid is pretty much overshadowed by the bad news that they are THAT mendacious.

We should be sure they wear that stench to their grave.

Does anyone else get irritated each time the ad for Google-mail plays on TV with

the simple-minded screeching of "I WANT SECURITY! OH, YEAH!"?

Maybe it's just me, but it drives me nuts. Of course, hearing it every 5 minutes does not help.

October. Frost-whitened rooftops and browning grass. A chilly rain. The season's first sniffles.

A reminder that, like most things in life, autumn is not all sunshine and happy days.

This season does have some beautiful hillsides, orange pumpkins and overflowing cornucopias of plenty.

But, it also has frost-blackened roses, an end to "free" garden produce and the reality that, yes, days really are getting darker.

Just some thoughts on a gloomy day in Little Egypt.

Carry on.

I've heard some political commentators say that Republican leaders are still supporting

Walker because "they have no other choice". That's a damned lie.

Their screwed-up party chose to run a world-class screw-up as their candidate for the US Senate and---to the surprise of virtually no sentient being---he is disintegrating before their eyes.

What choice do they have? They could say "We were wrong. Herschel Walker is not fit to sit in the Senate" and let the chips fall where they may.

When apathetic Illinois Democrats ignorantly chose radical Lyndon LaRouche-backed Mark Fairchild as their Lt. Governor candidate in 1986, they disavowed him, advocated a last-minute write-in and narrowly lost the Governor's mansion. That's what leaders of character do.

Republicans are not victims of unforeseen events. They made the wreaking bed in which they now lie and they have chosen to wallow in it rather than get up and walk away.
