Suppose that a loud-mouthed belligerent person who has previously announced his intent to

do you great harm acosts you on the street and fires several shots at you, all of which, fortunately, miss you.

Now suppose that, even after you and others chased him down and delivered him to jail, the Powers That Be released him, saying "He did not succeed in his attack so no real harm was done. It is time to move forward, not to dwell upon past wrongs".

Would you feel that justice was done?

Would you feel that the PTB had let you down?

Would you be concerned that the shooter woul just reload and try again?

Do you see any parallels between the above hypothetical and a soon-to-be real live political issue in this nation?

Hmmm?

I know where the lines are. I am choosing to ignore them.

I am supposed to be civil and respectful
.
I am supposed to be "an adult"

I am supposed to be tolerant of everyone.

I am supposed to follow the rules and be patient and "work within the system".

Above all, I am NEVER supposed to color outside the lines even if many were drawn by the people who are attempting to topple our democracy.

Well, to hell with all of that.

I will not ever work with, respect or in any way support anyone who supports Trump.

I will openly state as often as the opportunity presents itself that Trump's "presidency" was illegitimate from day one and was unquestionably the most corrupt, traitorous and criminal one in our history.

I will not knowingly deal or associate with any of these wastes of skin.

I will be thoroughly prepared to tell them why they disgust me and I will never hesitate to laugh in their faces and tell them to kiss my ass if they criticize my "attitude".

I am not just "not ready to make nice", I never will be.

In anticipation of the usual "pragmatic" comments about how I should not "burn my bridges" and that if I would just "listen" to the Trump supporters and "seek common ground" with them we could "reach a bipartisan compromise", I can only say: pull your head out! The last "discussion" I had with one of these "people" began with him saying----and, this is an exact quote---"FUCK YOU, YOU LIBTARD MOTHERFUCKER!" We did not find any "common ground".

If the above is totally contrary to your feelings, maybe one of us is on the wrong board.

I'd like to save the dictionary publishers some ink and/or memory space. Several words and their

definitions can be eliminated because they simply no longer have ANY meaning, thanks to Trump, his enablers and those of us who have allowed the words to become meaningless. I propose the following terms be omitted:

---shame
---embarrassment
---hypocrisy
---truth
---democracy
---fair
---reason
---morality
---patriot
---Christian

That will do for now, but I am sure there are other words that now only serve to confuse and mislead us.

Just found out that my nephew, my niece and her husband are all covid positive. No one is

terribly ill at this time, but one just tested positive two days ago.

Trump should die in prison.

If you're in need of a chuckle-------

An older couple approached the counter at a McDonalds and eyed the overhead menu. After whispered discussion, the man ordered "one hamburger, one small order of French fries and one small cup of coffee" He then asked for one extra cup and one plastic knife---"please"---and paid with cash.

Soon after they left the counter with the meal, the counter person summoned the manager and said, with a big grin, "You'll want to see this" as he gestured toward the frugal
pair.

The old man had already divided the burger exactly into equal halves and was now counting out equal portions of fries. When he finished the count, he poured half the coffee into the extra cup and pushed half a burger, half of the fries and a half cup of coffee over to his wife.

Touched by their meager circumstances and their devotion and loyalty to each other, the manager walked out to their booth and said "That was such a beautiful example of sharing! How long have you been together?"

"Fifty three years" the man replied as he took a big bite of the hamburger and then munched a couple of fries.

"Do you always share what you have?" the manager asked.

"Always" the man answered, despite a mouthful of fries and hamburger. "We always share everything!"

The manager then noticed that the wife's food had not been touched and inquired "Aren't you hungry?"

She flashed a tight-lipped smile and vigorously nodded in the affirmative.

The manager returned the smile and, gesturing toward her food, said "Well, what are you waitin' for?"

And, now, she smiled a broad toothless smile, nodded toward her chewing husband and exclaimed "Da TEEF!"
