Our First-Lady-Elect being referred to as "Dr." Jill Biden is AMOST as embarrassing as
President Obama wearing that tan suit!
Just because we need a reminder---and a sigh and a smile---and maybe some memories:

We must hang Donald Trump around the neck of each Republican like Coleridge's bird was hung around
the neck of the Ancient Mariner. Perhaps, eventually, the stench of the rotting corpse will offend even Republicans.

It's been a snowy morning here in southern Illinois. Just an inch and a half or so, but
enough to make our spruces beautiful.
I've laid this evening's fire and carried in extra wood. I just finished a slice of Mrs. A's homemade bread spread with jelly we made from some of 2019's blackberries. I'm now sipping a mug of hot Earl Grey as I marvel at what a lucky man I am.
Warm, dry and well-fed should not be taken for granted.
Stay safe.
We Democrats have listened long enough; we have been patient long enough.
We have tried to adhere to what, in the past, were considered the unwritten rules of civil discussion, but the Trump cult has had no explanation for their claims to victimhood that were not either transparent lies or ludicrous nonsense.
And, our patience, our civility, our willingness to "listen" have been viewed as weakness and clear evidence of our unfitness to lead.
Enough.
We can choose the decibel level we think appropriate---ranging from silently ignoring to loud declaration---, but our response, I submit, in word and attitude, should be a uniform "BULLSHIT!"
To those who will say that is too offensive---that's all the "nice" I've got left.
For four years, we've kept a sealed pint jar on a shelf beside the TV. In it is a single
Cheeto suspended by threads attached to several straight pins impaling it. The jar is labelled: "TRUMP VOODOO---it just might work!"
It DID!
If you run for Congress and don't win, you don't get to vote in the House. You're not
a Representative.
If you run for the Senate and lose the election, no one cares how you feel about a SCOTUS nominee. You're not a Senator.
If you run to be a Trump Elector, but Biden wins the election in your state---do I really have to finish this?
Stay home. Don't whine. Look up the words "class" and "dignity".
