Atticus
Atticus's JournalA bit of prudent advice: if you ever have the misfortune of stepping in a pile of Tucker Carlson,
don't even try to save the shoes; the stench will never fade away no matter how you try remove or conceal it.
Just toss them in the nearest trash bin and walk home barefoot.
Does anyone know Trump's shoe size?
I'm asking because he manages to put his foot in his mouth so very often.
Amazing, don't ya think?
After Durbin and Klobuchar finished with Cotton about his totally false attack on the "Democrat
Party", was he wearing the "Cone of Shame" on his way back to his office?
Just sayin'-------"Ouch!"
It tells you all you need to know about Eric Trump that most people consider Don Jr.
"the smart one".
Dear Senator Cruz: It is with a great deal of regret and disappointment that we here at
Stupid Sleazy Crap, Inc. feel we must end our long business relationship. Your account is now many months past due and we simply cannot continue to provide silly sayings and stupid stunts without payment.
As you know, you still owe us for those outrageous comments we drafted about the January 6th free speech exercise and our nuanced pro-Putin/ anti-democracy series. Your failure to pay for this latest publicity stunt we devised about what a travesty it is to put someone on the "no fly list" just because they punched a flight attendant when asked to wear a mask was the last straw.
We hereby demand payment in full of the attached statement within 10 days or we will have to hand this matter over to our attorney, Julie Ahney.
NOTE: We have not charged you anything for the "fly to Cancun to be with the kids" advice last winter as we totally agree that did not yield positive results public opinion-wise.
Regretfully,
Lotta Noive,
CEO of Stupid Sleazy Crap, Inc.
We must never forget Abraham Lincoln's warning:
"Not all we read on the internet is true."
When people perish because they voluntarily entered a lion cage or tried to pet a cobra or
ignored evacuation warnings in the path of a category 5 hurricane, we may understandably believe them to have been either mentally I'll or just ignorant. An alternative we seldom discuss is that they were simply arrogant---the "not ME!"---attitude that allows then to think themselves too strong, too smart, too GOOD to suffer the fate their inferiors would.
I think a lot of the current PTB have a similar attitude about global climate change and I think it possible that the extreme hardships our grandchildren will have to endure will not be because my generation was ignorant; they will suffer because of our leaders' arrogance and our apathy.
We know what SHOULD be done. We are just refusing to do it because the attitude of too many in leadership is "I'll be dead by then"
We've all seen and heard parents whose only attempts to control their children's behavior consist of
threats.
"If you don't stay in your chair and stop bothering people at other tables, you're going to be sorry!"
"Stop drawing on our walls or I will take all your crayons away!"
But,---there are never any actual consequences---punishments---for the misbehavior. The kids are free to do as they please.
The above is simply an example of what I thought was common knowledge: don't make threats/issue ultimatums/announce MANDATES unless you are able and willing to back them up or enforce them.
In my community, the very term "mandate" has lost all meaning. Signs at store entrances advising shoppers that masks are "required" are viewed as "liberal nonsense" and, of course, ignored. THERE IS NO CONSEQUENCE for entering without a mask.
If you are foolish enough to complain to management---as I have done---you are met with a shrug and the lie "We have no legal authority to enforce the state mandate". When I asked how they can enforce "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" but not "Masks Required", they shrug again and walk away with a "Thank you for your concern".
The "spoiled kids" without masks are running wild. I wish those with the authority to control them but won't would just shut up. Their spinelessness is embarrassing.
Which is it Senator Paul?
Your recent call for American truckers to drive across the nation in a "convoy" to disrupt or prevent President Biden's State of the Union address shows conclusively that you are either a clueless idiot or a anti-democratic traitor.
I think it's a combination of both, but it really doesn't matter---your remarks also show conclusively that you are unfit---mentally and morally---to sit in the Senate.
Resign, you poltroon!
This is another of those subjects that is difficult to discuss without pounding the podium and
frothing at the mouth: history is being erased, scrubbed or totally deleted by a crew of simple-minded bigots.
We have heard about Holocaust deniers for decades and we apparently decided to ignore them as they were "obviously lying" and "no thinking person will believe them". Guess what? There are MILLIONS who aren't "thinking people".
They are now denying Jim Crow, slavery, lynching, climate change and the covid virus. Hell, they are even trying to deny homosexuality!
These knuckle-draggers have succeeded in taking over school boards and state education offices because they threaten any who oppose them with violence. They openly call for executions and assassinations of the "communist traitors" who believe in teaching "socialist" things like truth and facts and science.
All of the above is cut from the same cloth as their latest Orwellian pronouncement: what occurred at the Capitol last January 6th was simply "legitimate political discourse".
We need to practice loudly saying "That is unAmerican BULLSHIT!" each time one of these MAGAt screamers begins spewing this nonsense, especially when they are spewing it on TV.
