"Cognitive dissonance" is the most consistent product of the Trump regime. The term simply means that what Pence and others SAY is our situation does not remotely resemble what we SEE!
I will not dignify VP Dense's remarks by repeating and rebutting them. Suffice it to say that, according to this sanctimonious waste of skin, the pandemic has been masterfully managed by Donald's steady leadership and we are now in a much better condition than we were before he took things in hand. The virus is in retreat and the economy is poised to surge!

So, when ol' Bill tells the Democrats waiting to question him to pound sand on, oh, say---July 26th, there will be nothing to "enforce" and he will not be "defying a lawful subpoena".
THEN, even if hurriedly served with a subpoena, it will be log-jammed in the courts till after the election.
Why not subpoena him to appear on July 28th, the date on which he has already agreed to appear---"just in case"? After all, this man is just as honorable and trustworthy as his boss.

The brutal naked truth: if governors and mayors do not shut down the restaurants and
bars and beauty parlors (the federal government is "not involved" ), the Corona virus will.
This is the most civil comment I can manage concerning the DC Appellate Court's astonishing
issuance of a Writ of Mandamus ordering Judge Sullivan to dismiss the Flynn case: this is what happens when Republican whores are allowed to nominate and confirm Republican whores to the federal bench.
As I have posted previously, many if not most of Trump's appointments need to be reconsidered. To those who say there is no method to do this i say "Make a method." The unprecedentedly outrageous appointments of a POTUS whose office had a "For Sale" sign on it from day one may call for unprecedented remedies, but we are capable of righting these wrongs without abandoning our Constitution.

I think the saddest thing about the Justice Department Oversight hearing is that the AAGs'
testimony simply repeated under oath what everyone with the IQ of a house plant already knew to be true; i.e., for example, Stone was cut a break because he was Trump's friend and advisor.
And, as always, the GOP's finest---Jordan, Collins and Gohmert---try their best to persuade the viewing audience that facts, civility and integrity are not necessary if you have arrogance, hostility and mendacity unhampered by any sense of shame.

I find it hard to believe that there are bona fide non-provocateurs who believe that pulling down statues of men who were in no way associated with the Civil War accomplishes anything beyond furnishing attack points for the Trump campaign.
Of course, the monuments and statues glorifying Confederate officers and Klansmen should come down.
Of course, the military bases named for traitors should be renamed.
But, destroying statues of men like Washington and Jefferson because they were white wealthy slave-owners over two centuries ago is---stupid. Expect to hear of it in Trump ads and speeches and expect it to push Deplorables to the polls who may have stayed home had the "radical unAmerican leftists" not assaulted "the Father of our Country, fer cryin' out loud!"
